Official ACT April 8th Thread

Ohh... That makes sense... Oh how test bureaucracies attempt to confue the masses with nonsensical procedure and red tape...

Does anyone know if they mix up the answers from test to test? I know that the test form was 63E, but does your individual test have different letters for diff. answers, and thats why theres that 6 digit code you put in? I'm just asking because I took away 360 from all the answers on the last question on the math section as well, but my answer was E instead of C like the other people on here.

I had form 63E and E as my last math answer too.

Interesting...

I dont think it will correlate like that.

Mine was 63E as well. I dont remember the last math question. Id be lucky to get a 23-25 on this.... but later this month a 30 should be in question for sure.

Dont worry guys...I am sure the curve we be to our benifit....(it better BE!)

I'm about 90% sure that my reading, writing, and math scores will be 30+.

The first time I took the ACT my writing/math/reading/science were 20/30/27/24. The 24 in science was completely blind guessing, but during this test I at least had an idea as to what I was doing, so 27-29 shouldn't be out of the question.

sacrifices lamb to the gods of the act science curve

joins Frame in doing so

I'd done one or two practice science sections but at 45 or 50 minutes each (not sure why, but I thought we got that much time per section). That sort of screwed me up on the real thing, plus the fact that this science was much, much harder than the sciences I'd done before. :(

I actually thought Science was very easy. I am 100% sure I got the first 24 right, and I am 90% sure I got at least 15 of the last 16. I finished with about 6 minutes left, so I went back and checked the first 24.

Oh, and my predictions:

34-35 English
36 Math
35-36 Reading
35-36 Science

It was tougher than the practice ones, but I felt VERY confident about my answers; more so than the practice ones, where I averaged a 34-35.

EDIT: And every question, that I can remember that I wondered about I guessed at correctly, according to this board. I'm feeling good. =)

Oh, and this one that people are wondering about:

55 people took one class, 40 took another, 20 took both.

95-20 = 75. 75 students took AT LEAST ONE class, 45 took neither.

for those of you who took the act before and know how the curve works, do u think this act will have a more lenient curve b/c it was harder or a similar curve to say the Febuary ACT

yes but not that lenient of a curve.

what is the least score you can get on the ACT that is the same as a 1200 on the old sat? 27 or 26?

search "act to sat score conversion" and check out the college board's chart.

7 Days! :)

ACT Composite Score Recentered SAT I Score

2180 on Sat for me = 32/33. That is also what I am hoping for roughly.

Also, I've decided to pay to see them early. All this damn speculation...

Is anyone going to pay early? Anyone to get it early free?
