Official Act Science Thread February 2013

aww man, i prolly failed the act science now

What was the relationship between the fungi and plants? Mutualistic? I think I messed that one up

Trumpet, I said that the volume decreased was what all of the four students agreed on as well.

ewigewig, I put it was mutualistic because the question said that they helped each other or something.

ewigewig, it was mutualistic because they helped each other.

I said mutualistic because more of the plant grew with the fungi present. Idk if thats right though

@delayed
the height was 6 because figure 2 (where the 0.2 was shown) is shown at 8 weeks of growth. So that means that you had to look at the 8 weeks of growth on figure 1 so the answer was 6 not 4

dlee96, I picked 6 as well!

Yeah definitely 6 that was tricky though

Sent from my SCH-I535 using CC

^yea i got 6 for that too
and the answer to the plant growth one is mutualistic

Wasn’t figure 2 the average over the entire 8 weeks though? @dlee

Lets keep me comes. Any other questions? If you think you gotten right, you should ask.

No figure 2 was at the end of the 8 weeks

Which student(s) would be most likely to agree that the volume inside the can decreased?
I did not see any direct proof, but it seems logical that they would all agree because their explanations gave reasons why the volume inside the can could decrease.

I don’t remember the exact question, but the answers for a graph analysis were 1/4, 1/2, 2, and 4. The phrasing was a bit weird, so I wasn’t sure which one it wanted me to compare. Anyone know the right answer?

That is the correct answer @working123

I think it was 2 orangepineapple

TheKongo,
what was the question and what passage was it?

how about the difference between the intracellular and extracellur? Na+or something

timtim154, which question are you wanting to know the answer to?
