Remember, we have to wait till Wednesday till we can actually discuss the contest but you can post your quims/aspirations/etc. about the AMC in general beforehand. Good luck to everyone taking this test tomorrow!!!:)

I think it went alright. I did better than I expected

Answered 16 of them - I'm pretty sure i got 15 right.

answered 16 too. hopefully got all right.

i have the answer key. my teacher gave us each a copy of the answers right when we handed it in so if you want to pm me i can give them to you if you even remember i also have the questions

It went alright...I could have answered a few more that I left blank because of time constraints. I got answered 15 and I KNOW I got 13 right and I omitted the rest.

The 2 I know I missed were just ridiculously stupid.

118.5 (16 answered and correct). So it DOES seem as if first 16 were the very easy ones. Not just me, then.

logisticswizard... you might want to retract your post, as people haven't taken it, and you have no way of knowing if people who pm you have taken it.

I found the first 16 easy, and left the rest blank. Hoping for 118.5. Although this just means competition for USAMO will be harder this year.

Oh, your right I suppose. But isn't the one tomorrow different anyways??

answered 15, got a 109 (made one ultra stupid mistake) X(.

should we bother updating colleges on this?

USAMO participation has been increased by 50% this year.

It wasn't really bad. Ironically I found some of the later problems to be a lot easier than expected (less computations than normal). Overall, the test was easier than say last year.

Same here....

yea... I MISSED IT

see, first hour i have to go to this other school to take physics C

soo... i didnt even kno they were talking it

104: 17 answered, 14 correct, 8 blank. All three errors resulted from stupid mistakes.

16 Answered 14 Correct, 9 Blank. 106.5. Stupid mistakes also...

I answered 15, 13 correctly. So, I just made the cut at 103. Made the mistakes on early on, easier questions and got later ones right, haha.

16 answered, one wrong which is on the easist question possible in the world (number four, the digital clock digits), and I also skipped a question that should have been incredibly easy by accident.

Guys, don't mean to be a downer, but don't be so confident that you got all the ones you think you got right since some of the questions may have been a little trickier than you thought them to be at first. Besides, you guys weren't supposed to talk about this test with ANYONE remember?

That said I foolishly answered 17 and may end up getting 3-4 wrong since I wasn't 100% confident on some of them after I thought over my reasoning.:( If I don't make the cutoff for AIME on AMC 12A, I'm going to go into the AMC 12B with the mindset and goal of answering only 11 questions that I'm 100% sure are correct and leaving the rest blank, to ensure that I at least qualify to AIME.

Haha I figured out right before the test (my first AMC!) that you could get 11 right and leave the rest blank and qualify, so that was my original intention. But I found the first 16 incredibly easy (except for #12 with the links... I had the right answer but wasn't TOTALLY sure so I didn't want to risk it).

Anyway, I got all 15 right (no tricks, they were very easy), so I ended up with a 115, though I could've gotten 118.5 easily.
