**Official AP BIO 2012 Thread**

Apchem helped me with the co2 one <3

All ive gotta say is… i should have studied more.

@penguin20
Really? I thought 80 MC and 32 is a 5 guaranteed…

Yeah idk that test left me confused haha, well, i hope you’re right! Btw do you know if international students get the same curve as US students? I swear my test was ugh full of some topics while it ignored others completly

I got a 75+ MC and for the essays i got like 4/10 on the first, 10/10 second, 7/10 3rd and 4th, so hopefully thats a 5, if not oh well :P

^I KNOW! There were so many things i review last night and none of it was on there
:/

Intentionally vague post:

The first free response (for the US test). When they told us to open the booklet and read the topic, there was a legitimate collective sigh in the room… My least favorite topic in all of biology.

But besides that, I think I did really well on the MC and other FRQs, so hoping for a 5!

I think I got a 4. I’m thinking 65ish on MC and about 25 on the essays. But that was deserved, because I didn’t study at all. Maybe I should have. Oh well, I should be getting 5’s on my other APs.

Same with that first free response. We were all just like… Whatttttt?
What I did review was biochem and the cell, neither of which were really on it at all. ■■■.

Can someone explain how weighting works? Doesn’t the mc get multiplied by .6 or something? I think I did terrible and I need as much help as I can get to get a 3

lol oceanicole I had the exact opposite response! That question was like mana from heaven; it was amazingly awesome

The multiple choice are worth 60% and the essays are worth 40%
APpass.com is a good website to determine your score based on how well you think you did.

Would 95 MC and ~25-30 on the essays definitely be a five?

95!? Yes! I wish I could get that many right.

I’m thinking for me between 88 and 93 on the MC and like a 4/10 on the first essay (seriously, we never talked about two of those topics in class lol), 10/10 on the second and fourth essay (thank you APES), and 8/10 on the third essay (I think I got the last part a bit wrong). 32/40 and an 88 should certainly be enough.

Hmm…is the ap pass calculator reliable?? Cuz I doubt I got a five with 5 and 6s for essays in the high 70s and low 80s for mc hah

MC x .9090
FRQ x 1.5

These should be the mulitpliers

Funny story from the AP exam. When the proctor said “Put your student pack on your table” my one friend (who knew he was getting a 1 anyway and decided to go out in style) intentionally misunderstood her as saying “Put your table on your student pack” and proceeded to flip over his table.

Am I the only one who found that easy? I’m fairly confident I got a 5. I’m thinking around 90/100 MC and 35/40 for the essays.

Essay 1: 9/10
Essay 2: 9-10/10
Essay 3: 8/10 (so glad I remembered siRNA, didn’t know epigenetics)
Essay 4: 9/10

The MC wasn’t bad at all, either. The graphs were especially easy. There were a few tricky ones, though.

The Free Response wasn’t that bad, but the only downpoint for me on the multiple choice is that for the last 10 questions, I had to rush. :frowning: Are we allowed to discuss answers?
