^^ Didn’t think you had to use each separate page. If that was the case, then you would have half a page for the first question (assuming four parts). Some kids like to write a lot, make a lot of errors, or write very large, so College Board puts extra pages in every subject’s FRQs just as a precaution for each student. I too skipped lines between sections. Would not worry at all, my friends.

what do you guys think 78 MC 1/10 FRQ1 5/10 FRQ2 6/10 FRQ3 5/10 FRQ4 would be?

a super low 5

How much do you guys think they take off if you weren’t able to address one part of the question? Like if they say list two organelles in the cell and explain their function and you can only list one w/ explained function but for the other one you just make something up? I had many of these situations on the AP test, I would go through the majority of the question and then I would only be able to cover half of the last part of the last question.

Those types usually award one point for the listing of an organelle and one point for a correct explanation. So, if you listed two organelles but only got 1 function correct, you would get 3/4 points.

@arooj

If you can’t answer a part of a question, you don’t lose points, you just don’t earn any. Each section of a question is worth a preset amount of points, so the points you miss out on depend on the sections you skip. You can make guesses without penalty along as you don’t contradict yourself (i.e., writing photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplasts and then writing photosynthesis takes place in mitochondria afterwards).

WOOO! Finally done with that test.
MC was pretty easy, had problems with only a few. Put down educated guesses for like 5-10 so hoping I got a 85+ on the MC. FRQ’s were not that bad, the 1st one I had parts of this essay on one of my unit test’s so I could answer all parts. So probably 8/10 . Second FRQ if all calculations were correct I should have been able to get 8/10 or more, just depends on if my writing was in depth enough. Essay 3 was good part A was essay, part B was good, IDK what Part C was talking about so I just bs’ed it. And Part D was okay, learned about the subject vaguely by watching this [Lick Your Rats](Lick Your Rats) in class one day. My teacher though it was “cute” so she showed us this video. HAH thank god she did. so probably 6/10. Last essay was okay was able to answer all parts except for part D, that was a bit difficult but wrote about human causes so hopefully 6/10 and that should get me a 5. I’m praying AHHH. To bad there was NOTHING about plants on this exam, like barely anything.

^ I know right? No plants, barely any human systems… seriously. >_____>

You should’ve seen the international form, full of human body which I like and plants which well they’re not my best friends haha

yes that’s pretty much a garunteed 5. [AP Pass - AP Biology Calculator](AP Biology Test Score Calculator - AP Pass)

Yeah, I was disappointed that there wasn’t much on hormones and the human systems. A free response about cellular respiration & photosynthesis would’ve been nice …

Hello! I am going to take Late AP Biology Exam… I am not here to ask for you about

specific questions, but I need advice on prep books.

Right now, I am trying to choose combination of Cliff Notes - Princeton Review or Barron’s -

Princeton Review. Which is the best choice?

I liked the Princeton review, concise and to the point! Cliffs is awesome

I heard many good things about Cliff Notes, but can you tell me the weakness of Cliff Notes and Barron’s? I got Princeton Review from library and try to buy either Cliff Notes or Barron’s tomorrow. Will you tell me the strongeness and weakness of both Cliffs and Barron’s and which make a better partner with TPR?

And Late AP Exams have totally different materials from regular Exams, right?

Cliff’s is all you need. I studied through the whole thing thoroughly and only took one official practice test (MC only). I did all the questions at the end of the sections twice. All of this only took about a week. Today, I almost certainly scored a 5 (90+ on MC, 30+ on FRQs). Just get Cliff’s, and study it exhaustively!

I think it’s quite embarrassing/annoying that my teacher didn’t get to the units over what the FRQs were based on. I know, I know- self-studying is pretty important. But still, when we opened the Part II, everyone just laughed and was like WELP.

Do y’all think that the College Board Secret Service will investigate me if I got around 80/100 MC rights with no more than 2-3 points for each FRQ?

lmao

My assessment of the test.
MC- 73 (totally missed any question on body systems or health related as our class just began that unit)
FRQ- 1. 4 2. 7 3. 7 4. 7
Question 1 was ridiculous. The one unit our class hadn’t gone over.
The rest of the FRQ’s were okay, but somewhat difficult. Epigenetics shouldn’t have been on the test. It is relatively new, and usually isn’t taught. siRNa shouldn’t have been on the test either. I know it was a choice you could choose, but it basically eliminated a possible choice and made you choose the other ones. I was sort of disappointed in the CollegeBoard. I thought this test was flawed and didn’t measure the amount of biology you knew (do standarized tests ever?)

What did you say for the filtration question about the glomerulus?
I think some possible Answer choices were: Potassium ions(or something), Amino Acids, Plasma Proteins, Urea, and one more.

I randomly guessed plasma proteins.
