^Lol yea, Physics C? The Mech was alright, but the FR was hard.
E/M was just…wth…epic fail
but I hope I did good on Bio.

LOL @ GrayAreaGirl :B

The MC was pretty easy for me. I was unsure/did not answer about 25, but I’m pretty sure the rest of my answers were correct. The second half of the MC was a lot easier than the first half.

The real deciding factor for my grade will be the FRQ. My class didn’t really get much practice with them, so they were my main weakness. The first was a breeze, and I think I did decent on the last three. I had to BS a bit of it, especially forgetting some basic organic chemistry. =\

Overall though, I’m probably on the cusp of a high 4 to a 5. Two down, one to go.

I left 15 blank on MC, but I only guessed on about 5 questions. The free response was alright. The first question was kind of difficult to me because it wasn’t straightforward. The second and fourth questions were extremely easy. The third question was alright, but I had no idea how to construct a phylogentic tree. There is no way I got less than 30 points on the FR all together. I already know I got a 5. It’s ironic because I raped this test and was subsequently raped by physics. I spent so much time ensuring a good grade on bio that I knew my physic’s score would suffer.

Exactly the same case here… =(

I spent an insufficient time preparing for this test because I’m already accepted into a good college and there was absolutely nothing motivating me to do well. You’ll notice the same thing when you are a senior.

How good are your teachers in both subjects?

My bio teacher covered barely any material. My physics teacher handed out thick packets and expected us to learn thermodynamics, nuclear physics, electromagnetism, and electric fields from those for the two weeks before the test. No review sessions in either class. ■■■

My bio teacher is AMAZING, we covered ALL of campbell’s, did all of the labs + about 6 extra ones + an extra biotech unit, and had 3 weeks to review! She’s amazing! =)

I can’t say the same about my physics teacher…he writes the tests and then takes the tests at the same time as us…I scored higher than him on 9 out of the 10 tests this year…

amciw, I am a senior. I’ve already taken Government, Lit, Bio, and Physics, and I still have Lang on Wednesday. The college I’m headed to is only taking 5’s on all of the subjects except government (no credit at all). Course credit isn’t the sole motivator for taking AP Tests–I want to take the government test to see if I had mastered the course material.

We got through a bit more than half of Campbell’s (Chapters 1-17, 20, 22-23, 31, 35-36, 40-41, 50-55), but I knew everything covered in class very well. He could have used class time a bit more effectively (wasted on unnecessary projects), and the class was boring at times, but we did learn things that were relevant to the test. I never took physics, so obviously I can’t comment on that.

Airchibundo, I’ve taken Statistics, Calculus BC, Lit, Bio, and have Macroeconomics on the 20th. My college doesn’t accept anything but 5s, and only on Calculus BC, Lit, and Bio. However, its only advanced standing, not real credit, and I don’t have to worry about taking any Biology classes (as distribution requirements will be met through other classes). I do want to do good on them - the reason you noted above for taking government is exactly how I responded to the question in the student pack - but it wasn’t to the point where I thought excessive studying was justified, nor that I had the motivation to do such studying.

That’s hilarious Databox. Talk about an unbalanced science department.

What is the least u could get on the MC and still get a 5?

//I had mastered the course material.//

Mmm, stupid survey questions…

Good eye.
10 char

Answered you on the previous page, airchi.

With a curve of 90, you need a minimum score of 30 on the MC to get a five, assuming you got a perfect score on the free response.

I thought the test was easy overall.
In mc, I guessed on maybe 5 and skipped 3, i think.
i reallized there were some that I didnt cover like the bones and nerve system. And oh yeah, the f-ing Kidney! I knew what they do and how, but how the f should we know what part does what the best?
anyways… FRQ was also pretty easy. But then again, the national average scores is 2.1/10 and our class (f-ing hard class, with avarage of >90) average on FRQ is 4/10…
I would be shocked to death if I get a 3. If I get a 4, I will be surprised very much. If I get a 5, I will again be surprised. Damn… How do I not get surprised?

I’m SO confused. OK, on the Free Response - if you get higher than the average mean does that mean that you get the FULL points or how does that work - or does the average mean not count at all … I’m so confused!!!

Average does not matter…

Oh great - that makes it so much better. :(

This all reminds me of SAT and ACT discussion when people would be talking about how they could only get around -3 to -4 to get a 700 on the Math, and we would all work out the answers to the math questions and we would all have answers the day of the test, and we would remember each question vividly. I remember some questions, but now it’s so much more different: there are 100 questions, you could miss like 25 and still be fine, and remembering all the questions will be a challenge! Quite honestly though I do not want to come here after the 48 hours is up, otherwise I’ll make myself more worrisome if I happen to find out I got some questions wrong, and the test results don’t come out till early July, so I don’t want to worry until then.

Either way, I’ll always love places like CC where you get to talk with people who are always motivated and so exact that you won’t have any questions. Well I guess I’ll be seeing you guys around near July.
