AP Bio:
My teacher is new this year, and sucks ****!!! We didn’t learn ANYTHING THIS ENTIRE year. I didn’t even read any of the Campbell, maybe like 5-8 chapters. I had to read the entire Cliff’s Notes book yesterday to prep for this test. I’m hoping for a 5 but my FR was a lot of bs. We “covered” (and by cover, I mean, we did colorful projects on) Ch. 2-10, 12-17, 22-25, 31, 35-36, 40-45). And I took a summer course (required) in the summer that covered Ch. 50-55.

AP Physics C: Wow, hardest test ever. At least the E/M. Mech MC was easy, but some of the FR (especially #2) was hard. Diffeq lolwut? The E/M MC and FR were both impossibly hard for me, since I didn’t really learn enough of it in class, and my class wasn’t AP oriented. So I’ll be lucky to get a 4, even with the big curve.

Predictions: AP Bio- 5
AP Physics C Mech- 5 (hopefully!)
AP Physics C E/M- 3 (hopefully a 4)

tomjonesistheman - my teacher is like the EXACT some way. I tried to read Cliffs - on saturday and sunday but it was so stressful - I only got halfway there. I’m the kind of the reader that has to like KNOW everything I read otherwise I get stressed out. I even had my dictionary with me. It was like hell.

um does anyone else except for me realize that ETS CHANGED THE BIO GRADING SYSTEM. The AP Bio test is actually graded out of an 100 now. and i believe they predetermine the curves for aps too no?

Thought it was overall pretty easy. Omitted one and guessed on about 5. Essays are probably moderate, I only wrote like 2 pages each, hopefully that’s enough.

I agree, that’s how much I wrote on most of the essays. I feel like if i had more time, I could have gotten into more detail, but time really flew.

God saved me, oh my goodness.
The MCs were okay, just the few physiology questions I skipped…
but the FRQs were reallyyy doable!
I was frustrated the night before b’cuz I couldn’t get the molecular stuff in my head, and physiology was self-study (which didn’t work out very well)… the FRQs end up being somewhat ecology/evolution based (the parts I actually understand)
overall, I think I got a 4 for sure, 5 maybe.

It’s out of 150. If it’s virtually everyone + prep books vs. you, I’d go with the former in terms of validity.

I’m pretty sure curves for AP’s are always predetermined with a “test” group, which is basically a smaller sample that is supposed to be representative of America as a whole.

This test was unbelievably easy for me… it was my first AP test, and I think I did extremely well on it Only skipped one question that I had absolutely no clue on, otherwise, I smart-guessed on about 15 of them… I’m SOOO glad I crammed on Sunday, there were about 7 questions on the test that I remember directly from my Sunday-cram :D

The free response was a lot easier than I thought it would be, so yay :D

One funny thing that happened was that at around the 5-minutes-left point of the essays, I got a bloody nose… so I started holding a tissue on my nose with my left hand and writing with my right hand haha. Thank goodness I finished.

desperatechaos/smart1:
i think it is outta 100 now b/c mc went from 120 to 100 q’s AND in the most recent prep books curves r given out of 100 pts

holy cow. so we thought we had covered everything in our bio class. turns out we were wrong. anyway, i skipped 5 guessed on 20ish. i think i got the FRQs. it might’ve gone like 1: 8/10 2: 8/10 3: 9/10 4: 7/10. geez. i’m hoping for a 5. anyone want to give me an idea of how i roughly did?
