OFFICIAL AP Calculus BC 2012 Test Thread

I had less than or equal to 1 and greater than or equal to -1. Did you check the endpoints?

Someone make a tinychat to discuss.

It was REALLY easy in my opinion. The free response was a joke, especially the first two questions.

Btw my favorite interval is -1 lessthan/equal to x less than/equalto 1.

I got the endpoint t 1, but how did you check for convergence at -1?

guys: [98sg8 - Tinychat](<a href=“Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat”>Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat)

That’s what I got brah. Both endpoints diverged by nth term test. Any more Qs?

Except it was an alternating series so they do converge…brah.

I felt like I did pretty well on it. Though sometimes I make errors for not reading the questions completely

For FRQ #1, did we also have to say the y coordinates for the point of inflection and rel max? I only gave the x coordinates.

And did we have to say the radius of convergence for the series one?

You guys think I’ll get points off for forgetting dt at the end of an integral even if everything else is right?

The FRQ were ridiculously easy. I think I missed 3-5 MC questions because of stupid mistakes, but I felt really good about everything!

WOW…ridiculously easy…definitely 5 :)
how did u guys do?

Jeezz I didn’t think it was THAT easy. Logistic growth gave me a little trouble and I was dumb and ran out of time on the vector question

Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using CC

I can’t believe how humble everyone on here is! I’m glad you guys are all certain you got 5s!

Cfcight25, I felt the same way

Quick survey: did any of you guys have a “solids/volumes of revolution” problem on one of your FRQs? I didn’t. I think I should leave this thread now, seeing as the international and domestic tests were clearly not the same. :P

I had the interval converging on both ends… -1 was due to the alternating series and right end I did the ratio test. otherwise the free response were pathetic…

calgirl15 I didn’t have a volumes of revolution problem and I didn’t take the international test

@ lizzie16: OK, that’s what I thought. Interesting how they decided to focus on series/methods of estimating values of functions this year…

yeah I kind of wish we had had a solids problem…

Interesting stuff… also, was it just the international test, or did you guys also have a LOT of questions pertaining to maxima/minima/concavity/relationships between original functions, derivatives, and double derivatives?

I felt like it was suspiciously easy. ended up with 15 minutes left by the end of both mc and 20 minutes left by the end of the frq, and I had enough time to check over all the questions and have time left over still. no trying to be a prick or anything but I felt like the older frq and mc’s were harder.

Oh my gosh it was bad. I forgot everything about series. So I didn’t even try doing the last problem. There were just so many things on it that I did not know or even saw and I had the PR book
