How was it even possible to finish all the free response in 90 min answering every part of every question properly? I’m 99% sure i got at least 55/60 MC but starting with the 5th frq with 10 min left I just started skipping around trying to find free points…
I swear if they pull an AP bio on this one I’m done with CollegeBoard. Also guys remember that most kids who take this test are generally way worse than the people on this forum so if the consensus here is that the FRQ was a b*tch then think about how everyone else must’ve done…

I thought the exam was really hard, the multiple choice was easy, but that doesn’t mean I did good XD. The FRQs were AWFUL! Apparently there were different versions because some people are talking about a certain thing I didn’t have appear anywhere. I got through about 60% of the first 3 FRQs, then realized I had 10 minutes to do 2 1/2 of the free response. I started writing down as much information as I knew, and it would refer me to other parts so I’m really hoping the curve is high this year, but I doubt I’ll pass.

I thought the MCs were not that bad but that I made a good amount of careless errors. The Free Response is a mystery. I know i bombed #7 and #6 I’m pretty sure i got the right answer but my explanation was completely wrong cause I was running out of time. If I actually did the other FRQs correctly, i think I’ll be alright

@welp17 I thought it was hard! When I took practice tests, I finished in like 45 min max, but it took me all 90 minutes on the AP. There were about 10 that I just flat out guessed on.

That test was horrible. I spent so much time studying thermodynamics and it was barely on the test -.-

@CUDA2015 Yeah same here… thermo was my best!

What does it mean to be “thermodynamically favorable”?

@PoisonIvy20 its when Delta G is negative

Did anybody else expect there to be so much organic chemistry on the test? My teacher really emphasized that we didn’t have to know o-chem beyond the very basic formulas, but there seemed to be a lot of o-chem.

@PoisonIvy20 it means the reaction will proceed naturally, with no additional help from a source.

I thought I was done and had to bull FRQ 7 in a couple of minutes people around me were just staring at me because I had to write something down.

Is -10 out of 60mc and -10 out of 46? Frq a 5. That’s my worst case scenario if I like -6 to both from my prediction. I thought the mc was really easy Form O and same with frq but had no time for the last one -_-

@wimbus1233 Yeah, you’re good if that’s your worst case. That’s ~80% correct.

I regret falling asleep last night and not looking over the ones I got wrong on the new practice test :c
Probably got 70% mc & 20/46 FR
So… I should be right on the 3/4 line

@pretzel729 was the FR really only out of 46 points?

I thought the test was actually pretty easy. Barron was ■■■■■■■ incredible in preparing me for the exam. I did finish the exam, but I had almost no time to think. Most of the labs we did in class and I already encounter all the free problems multiple before.

I found no. 7 on the free response the easiest free response and skipped to it.

I just took the SAT Chemistry exam on Saturday and I think the multiple choice on this test was actually easier. Go figure. I only remember blindly guessing on three MC questions. I finished my first pass through with ten minutes to spare and used that to answer the 7ish questions I had skipped. Fingers crossed that I didn’t make any stupid mistakes only the questions I didn’t have enough time to go over!

The FRQ…Q1 made me really happy, as I had just read my lab notes from the same exact kind of experiment the night before to prepare. I literally covered every inch down to the last margin with explanations and calculations. Of course, as I started Q2, I realized that I had an hour for the last six questions and started freaking out. I managed to write SOMETHING for (I think) everything, but I just made up stuff for Q4 and am praying that I explained Q7 correctly. I just assumed it was first order (since I had no idea) used the half life = .0693/k equation. If that was wrong then I’m screwed. XD

Overall not as bad as I was afraid it was going to be with the new format.

do you only lose one point for not including units(for example the k value in the half life question i didn’t include 1/s :’( . Also I was so scared the first 10-20 questions, I had like 2 b’s then 2 c’s and then 2 A’s made my answer sheet look like tetris…

didn’t study since im a senior and it was relatively easy
idk what you guys are even talking about

didnt finish everything but seriously a few skipped answers in frq and a few mc off wont change ur scores

Don’t go by how your answer sheet just looks…one time my teacher made all the answers on her test C and students were so confused and began randomly changing answers…
