May the force be with you all.

I don’t give that list any credibility because it doesn’t have anaphora.

Can you use religious works (psalms, vedas, etc.) for the open ended essay?

Guyz I’m scurred

EVERYBODY BREATHE. Don’t forget a good night’s rest is super sweet and beneficial and important to your general well-being tomorrow morning.

DOES THE ABOVE INCLUDE:

I. Epistrophe & anaphora
II. Alliteration & polysyndeton
III. Asyndeton & assonance

A) I only
B) II only
C) III only

(B, I can spot polysyndeton a mile away.)

Hey seniors, if for some reason you’re taking the test, and don’t need the credit, can you purposely fail? I really need a good curve.

So what is everyone more concerned with tomorrow, the Free-Response or the Multiple Choice?

@harasNN HAHAHA seriously…

Probably both equally. I’m teetering on the edge of 4 and 5 I think.

Also, I’ve been advised to have a good background in 2 novels and one play for the frqs. The ones that I will be using are Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Cry, The Beloved Country by Alan Paton and Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw.

Here are the novels we read this year, if anyone is interested:

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Rick Riordan
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Crime & Punishment by Fyodr Dostoevsky
Hamlet by Shakespeare
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
Beloved by Toni Morrison
The Stranger by Albert Camus

We read
Wit(short play)
Othello
Great expectations
Middle march
Color purple
Frankenstein
Tess of the D’Urbervilles

Just finished taking the exam, I thought it was pretty easy.

Also thought it was easy. Although I didn’t realize there were 5 passages until I got.to the 4th one… So the last section MC I probably bombed :frowning: All of.the reading was enjoyable though. Except the last one. But maybe that’sbecause I had to do it in 5 minutes. Also, is it ok if you write four paragraphs for an essay? I didn’t have enough time so I wrote four for the second one!

4 paragraphs is plenty. As long as you convey your information clearly

Very happy with the test! I liked all of the essays and the poetry MC was especially easy.

I had a huge brain fart when I got to Essay three today. I couldn’t think of any book to use. So I just picked one that isn’t technically of “Literary Merit” …Kathryn Stockett’s “The Help” haha oh well. I already got a 5 last year on Lang and Baylor gives credit for Lang OR Lit so it doesn’t really matter if I didn’t pass. Just thought I’d share so you all can feel my pain…and laugh at me :)

I wrote the essays backwards. 3 first, then 2, then 1.

I wrote essays 1, 3, 2
