Official AP Euro '11 Thread

^Why didn’t you take it last year then?

It was a last-minute decision. I’m 1 AP test short of 30credits at the university I’ll be attending next year. So, by taking another test, I can get ahead credit-wise, and be, academically, a sophomore.

Good luck on your quest! I think self studying history classes are all possible to get a 5. Im just very disappointed that i did not know about self studying when i was a freshman.

Is it too late to get a 5 if I’m at Romanticism in Princeton Review and REA’s Crash Course? Like if I start getting in a chapter a day w/notes and start practicing FRQ’s and DBQ’s? Thanks :)

Just got my practice test results back…I got a 2…which means I can take the test!!! lol now just do study none stop… uhh

We’re using Spielvogel and it is such a terrible book. Our class is ping to start WWII after Spring Break, an our teacher said that we were going to have approximately 3 weeks before the exam to review/do practice tests.

I’m at WWI in PR, sadly, it is currently our Spring Break, which means I’ll have to wait for a long weekend later on to rehearse that PR once more.

My class uses Spielvogel, and while it’s not my favorite history textbook (that would be American Pageant), I find it reasonably usable…
We’re currently on the between wars unit

Anyone done with WWII? My school is starting it and I’m wondering if we’re behind/on time/fast?

We’re JUST starting WWI and spring break is next week.

Spring break ends tomorrow and we will be finishing up imperialism and then moving on to WW1.

We just finished Age of Anxiety, moving on to WWII now.

Okay, it’s official. My class SHTINKS.

We just had a test today on German and Italian unification, as well as the Russian Revolution of 1905. We didn’t even touch WWI and we’re only starting imperialism tomorrow.

With the rate my teacher is going, should I quasi self-study?

I’ve been using PR for some weeks now and it’s pretty easy, but I feel like it’s a little fluffy, so I’ve also been using MEH to fill in some gaps. I literally gave up on my textbook (Kagan, a.k.a. the bane of my existence and an abomination to studentkind) last semester. I honestly don’t know how I even made it this far without reading it!

I’m receiving AP Achiever soon in the mail (maybe tomorrow or Friday), so can anyone help me set up a study schedule? I know that book isn’t exactly light, but all of it is doable between now and the very end of April, right?

HELP!!! urgent face

There removing AP Euro to save money for our school.
It sucks I wanted to take it next year :(

BUMPing this back up because someone felt the need to post over and over. Also I have a nationalism and imperialism test tuesday, so any advice?

I have one on the same topic as you on Wednesday. My advice? Sure, study.

Modern European History.

I’ve heard plenty on this book, can someone tell me if it’s worth getting? I plan to reread the Princeton Review a second time, and take practice DBQ’s nonstop, but I wanted to purchase this and see what everybody spoke about.

I think I did well so thats good, looking at our schedule it looks like we’ll finish the book around April 19th leaving at about 2 1/2 weeks of review. How much review do you guys have?

I just took a WWI test today.

My teacher’s rushing a bit, but I like the faster pace, since I reallly need the extra review time.

@EddieAP Modern European History is great for learning the facts and content, but it doesn’t give much practice resembling the actual test. But since you have Princeton Review I think you’ll be fine.

Oh and how is the Princeton Review for AP Euro? I recently purchased it, although it’s a bit late to start…

So, er…my AP Euro class sucks. We just finished Italian and German unification because we spent two months on the Protestant Reformation at the beginning of the year. This is my teacher’s first time teaching the class, and although he’s a great guy it’s clear he doesn’t really know what he’s doing. Also, our textbooks (Palmer and Colton, which is dense as a brick, and Sherman, which is idiotic) are mostly useless. Any tips for self-studying? I’m beginning to panic…
