^^sin(theta)=theta for small angles.

^I used the analogy route to check my answer, which was really helpful.

^Usually the question will tell you when small angle is needed as in 2009 (number 2)

I might’ve pwned #3. It’s just 1 and 2 that will destroy me.

What the hell was up with the graph sketches this year requiring for maximums, minimums, asymptotes, etc. to be labeled? That’s never been a requirement in the past.

Keasbey - That has all been required in the past.

^It’s never been that specific, though.

Honestly, all that I labeled were asymptotes and initial points (i.e. y-intercepts). I didn’t get any min/max or anything else listed on my graphs. IMO, the test writers seemed to really complicate things this year and stuck both helpful and distracting things in the directions.

Is it cool if i used a least squares regression line from my calculator for the lines?

You’re supposed to select points from the line you draw on the graph in order to determine its equation.

^ yupp that is what i did, you get points off otherwise.

I picked two points that were given . . . uh oh, I guess that’s bad since they weren’t on my line (line of best fit went over/under). AHHH this sucks!

Sooo did anyone else take Bio in the morning, then Mechanics, then E&M? I was basically dead after all that testing. Mech was uber-uber-rapey compared to older mech tests.

dammit all, I guess it’s just 1 point off anyways

also, for 2, were we supposed to graph acceleration or velocity?

acceleration

I did Music Theory, then Mech, then E&M. I was dead by the end of E&M; thank goodness it didn’t rape as hard as Mech.

Magnitude of acceleration (acceleration was negative, so not seeing “magnitude” tripped me up for a couple of moments)

e^(-t) 10char10char

^Is that what the graph was supposed to resemble?

^ thats what I put basically

What points were we supposed to graph? I graphed from the beginning at point A all the way till the blocked stopped, but I don’t think we were supposed to graph all of that lol.

Yeah, my graph also looked like e^-t for a portion of it.

We were supposed to graph from point D to stopping. Initial acceleration was (-k/m)vD (I think I may have just put vD) and it was an e^-t for the rest of the way, with a horizontal asymptote of acceleration=0.

Just realized that I had asymptotes on all of the graphs on both Mech and E&M. Weird.
