Official AP Physics C Mechanics Discussion

Don't post here till tomorrow (err, today technically)!

Good luck everyone!

Parts of it were just ridiculous.

So hard… Think I hardly got credit on the part 2s… Guessed on the last 10 multiple choice… Eek 1 here I come

I thought it was harder than all the previously released Part IIs, and slightly harder on MCs.

■■■…I blew it. I thought overall the test was pretty easy, but I kept almost falling sleep…I knew I should have gotten some more rest. FRQ was not nearly as hard as I thought it’d me. MC was fair. But I’m pretty sure I got a f’ing 2/3… There goes 85 bucks down the drain.

MC was alright although I ran out of time and guessed on 5 without reading the problem. At most i got 20/35. FRE 1&3 was ridiculously impossible. Btw is the curve determined before or after tests are taken?

After, I think. I assume since it doesn’t change much from year to year, a 65% for a 5 is a good prediction.

Ridiculous.

^No way the curve is going to be as high as a 65% for a 5. My guess would be around 50-52/90.

I hope you’re right…

It’s sort of a blur right now because my brain tends to forget painful experiences; and if anything, that was very painful.

I took one look at this test and went “people in the world can answer this? Why havn’t we found another inhabitable planet? Like seriously people who can answer this can’t make this world a better place?” Sheer pain, both mc and fr. Studied my ass off and could only answer like 7 mc and like parts of the free responses (not many). Screw AP Physics

What’s the 3 range? And what’s the MC multiplier? 1.28?

Amen @wonderer1

That was the hardest exam I have ever taken. It also reminded me of why I never have wanted to be an engineer.

MC multiplier is (9/7), so yeah, 1.28.

Also, did anyone else not use a calculator at all during the FRQ? I probs did so badly that I didn’t get to the parts where we had to use it haha.

Hrm… very little calculator use to be honest. It was all in terms of variables with the exception of one or two parts at most.

only used calc to find the slope. ■■■■ the FR was so hard. Complete blank on how to do differential equations (even though I finished MVC and ELA this year…).

MC wasnt tooooo bad. hopefully better than -10 on MC and a 18+ on FR to get a 5

You used calculus to find the slope of a straight line?

Killer test. I was prepping for getting a 4 on a regular day, 5 on a good day, but I’m hoping for a 3. No way I got 65-70% for a 5, or a 50% for a 4.

He meant calculator.
