What exactly did Carl Jung do again? I keep forgetting why this guy is significant lol

Carl Jung was one of the more influential neo-freudian psychologists who advanced and changed Freud’s ideas in many ways. One of Jung’s most notable theories was the thought of a “collective unconscious” which is a part of the mind shared by all members of a species.

I bet there’s more that I don’t know. ^^

Name the many reflexes that human infants exhibit.

Describe both the information-processing model of memory and the levels of processing model of memory.

Information processing model of memory places memory in three different stages: sensory memory, short term memory, and long term memory. Sensory memory lasts for only a split second but is perfectly accurate. Short term memory has a limit of 7 items and can be directly accessed. Long-term memory seems to have no limit and can last over many many years.

Levels of processing model describes memory as either being shallowly or deeply processed. Shallow processing would be studying vocab right before the test and scribbling it down before you forget. And deeply processed would be studying intently for hours before the test.

What were the findings of Asch’s conformity studies?

The Testfrenzy #99 is actually #98 according to the answer key. Likewise, #99 on the answer key was discarded, which is the same as #98 on the Testfrenzy exam.

Essentially, the answer key for the last few questions on the 1999 exam from Testfrenzy are as follows:

C

[discarded]

E

A

what is rotter’s expectancy theory?

Around how many MC questions should you leave blank (if you really really dont know) if you want at least a 4?

About 15-20 at the most, I’d say.

So out of 100 questions, you skip 15, answering 85. Assuming you then get 16 of those 85 questions wrong, that leaves you with 65 points for the multiple-choice section. If you get about half of the points on the free response section, you’ll be in the mid-range for a 4 (based on the 2004 scale).

Rotter’s expectancy theory: Explains why people do things, a person’s decision is based on what they expect will follow

What is the general adaptation syndrome?
