Official AP Psychology thread 2012

Why heuretics are better than algorithms = faster?
Oh right, and Noam Chomsky/Whorf, there were 2 questions with both of them…

Haha for the rods/peripheral vision one I sai how Ross help you see at night and peripheral vision allows you to see around the area. I think I did so bad…

heuristics are faster ,yes

shiiiiiiit it looks you guys had a HARD FRQ, my frq was really easy. Terms were like Ach, correlational study, intrisic motivations, pretty sure I got most of them write. But due to the confirmation effect i probably failed hard.

Yes test scores can’t be released. So never was the right answer.

with the consent of the client is what i put… are you sure NEVER?

I put for the heuristics that it involves real life situations. Don’t worry though becuase I got 70s the whole yr.

Also, informed consent = ethics

And according to the APA Ethical Guidelines on Human Research:
3. Anonymity or confidentiality-- Participants’ privacy must be protected. Their identities and actions must not be revealed by the researcher.
In the Barron’s, it doesn’t give any exception to that rule.

What was the one that we develop language based on signs if we are deaf?

“the bigger the better” is related to helping people in situations…what is it called again?

I remember a similar answer choice for a practice test about the releasing information question. The answer was NOT never.

Yep. I’m fairly certain that it’s never. I have no clue about the deaf question.

chomsky is the deaf one i believe…inborn language

My proctor said that if we had a problem with a question we could call CB directly and petition it. After doing practice exams, I know that questions have been removed. The Stroop and Dichotic/CocktailParty were a bit sketchy IMO.

@the smartest
Bystander Effect, I think

@whatslife
I think I was between Noam Chomsky and Whorf… I wasn’t sure though.

post my username if you think collegeboard is stupid for putting stuff on the exam that aren’t in many standard psych college level or AP textbooks.

lost touch in her right hand is parietal?? correct? please say correct !

I put Chomsky

I studied my ass off and I’m getting so many wrong… Nothing like the released ones.

hatboy, are you writing a letter to collegeboard. If you don’t have the courage to, someone on here has to do it bystander effect lol
