Official AP Psychology thread 2012

@meatkabob Thanks for the reassurance. Sorry I freaked out. I think for some of the pairings, it would have been really hard to reference a concrete location (such as with retinal disparity and depth perception). Hopefully we’ll all get our fair share of the points.

The worst question in mc was the one about the racially integrated class and what approache the school should take

^ The answer was putting them in groups together to work on a common goal or something

that one was easy…they had to work together. if you dont understand read up on superordinate goals.

did anyone make or wants to make an apes thread ? because there seems to be no discussion of it.

@APchem
I did the exact same thing. I know how you feel.

That exam was a lot harder than past ones/practices, in my opinion. Especially the FRQs.

For the second free response, I ended up just explaining the relationship between the two terms and how the first one affected or influenced the second one. I didn’t really consider the “location” thing as some of those terms didn’t have a “location”. Besides, “location” is vague and should not imply some hidden meaning that we students don’t know about.

I thought the location thing was pretty simple, but my class did a past frq similar to that. The first frq had a few I wasn’t sure about.

Now, I am questioning whether or not, I should cancel my score. I think I got only a 2 and 4 on the FRQs and maybe a 65 MC right (that’s a pure guess because I never took a practice test before). So much for an independent study student.

Was it just me or did everyone have 20+ minutes left on the MC and not enough time for the essays?

I think I got 70 right at leadt and 5/7 on the first and maybe 3/7 on the second depending on the location issue. Is that go enough for a 5 or is it a 4?

wait I thought the frqs were out of 8?

I’m really hoping I got less than 20 wrong on the MC. My second free response was definitely better than my first, but I don’t have a point estimate.

I had 20+ minutes left on the MC and about 10 minutes left on the free response.

Does anyone have an estimation of the curve for this exam?

104/150=5 etc?

I’m thinking the curve will be a bit more lenient this year because of that 2nd essay…

I had ~30min left on the MC questions (had time to go back and check/second guess myself lol)

And finished just on time for FRQ. I had ~5min so I just threw on some conclusions/wrap up because I hate not having and ending to my writing :/

guys for when do gender roles develop???
Is it biological or early in childhood?

I had 35 minutes left on the MC. Some of those terms on the FRQ they just pulled out of nowhere and I didn’t even know what they were! I guessed, and after googling, I guessed wrong :frowning:

I know I got a four at least. But I want a 5!

@actstudent
I put early childhood but i may be wrong.

@actstudent I also put early childhood, but I wasn’t certain.
