^I want to know this to. I’ve never taken a Psychology FRQ before this (which I suppose is my fault), but I don’t recall them being in the directions so I don’t see why they’re required.

MC is about the same, and the FRQs are online…they seem a bit easier than this year’s.

The directions say that mere facts are not enough to gain credit.

^that didn’t answer my question

But the 2nd FRQ question just ask for explanations, not examples.
If it’s only for examples, I’m positively screwed beyond hope. There goes my 5.

^They also want(for 1) how they apply to Annebelle…for 2, they want how location determines their effect.

Okay, good I did that.

Chat room to discuss test.

oh my gosh. Would an example be like if something moves closer in proximity, it becomes easier to perceive. Or like talking about SSRIs in the serotonin one?

If not I think I’m screwed. I really hate that format. Why can’t they just give half points for definition and example. ooooh nooooo!

no, proximity is that things close to another are mentally grouped together. SSRIs I mentioned briefly in the serotonin one.

@smiter are you sure. I mean I’m not sure if I used perception and proximity in the proper context.

did you guys get the multiple scholersis one?

^myelin sheath

I’m like 90% positive.

And I just looked it up in my psych review packet and I’m right.

For compliance I just said that Annabelle will do what her parents tell her to do because of the social pressure. Do you guys think this would score?

I defined ethnocentrism as only associating yourself with people of your own ethnicity but then I said this would cause annabelle to not be able to empathize with other ethnic groups. This would hinder her ability to adapt in a diverse college environment.

I know ethnocentrism is actually defined as judging another group of people by your own ethnic/cultural standards. Will my stretched out explanation score, do you think?

do you think talking about her getting into the culture of the college and judging things from her college better than things from other colleges would cut it for ethnocentrism?

@halemcck I don’t think that would score. Ethnocentrism has to deal with ethnicity in some way and not just the culture of the college. I could be wrong, however. I made a stretch for my explanation of ethnocentrism as well.

What if you put race instead of ethnicity?like Asian and caucasion. Would that count? For proximity, I drew a picture and then described it. Would that work? Also for availability heuristics, I gave a wrong definition but put that Annabelle chooses city 1 instead of city 2 because she heard that city two has a lot of crimes so she wont apply there andwill want to go to city 1 even though there aremore crimes in city 1… would I still get a point for this?

I think you would get the point for all of them except proximity. I was told that picture-drawing is not acceptable.

Guys, is it possible that there are multiple tests going around? My FRQs had NOTHING to do with Annabelle.
