Ok and then we didnt exactly have to write an essay right? I put my answers as one long paragraph and just put things like compliance means… for retinal disparity… someone who does an activity in the presense of others…

I think there are multiple tests going around. Someone brought up that message a while back about not remembering annabelle. I think.

What is serotonin? I said it was a hormone but I’m not sure hahaha. And like everyone else here I was SO confused by what they meant with the “location/placement” part of the prompt in the second FRQ. Pretty sure I screwed up the first one worse than I thought, too… we never learned that goddamn prospective memory I swear

@Diana2012, Availability is a cognitive heuristic in which a decision maker relies upon knowledge that is readily available rather than examine other alternatives. So for that, I wrote that she might make her decisions on colleges based on what she already knows about them. I used better wording to better fit the question, but that’s basically what I said. I’m not sure if it’s right, but that FRQ was pretty difficult.

For the second FRQ, I really didn’t catch on to the “location” as others did. All I did was state how the first one affected the second one and I mentioned location briefly for a couple of them. Is it possible that I will still get the points?

@halemcck, it MIGHT score, but ethnocentrism is really one culture thinking they’re better than another culture. The example I used, which I’m not definite would score points either so don’t go by me, was that her adaptation to college might be affected by ethnocentrism because other groups might think they are better than others and not want to hang out with Annabelle. The only example I’ve ever heard of with ethnocentrism was in history class, so I found it difficult to apply to the FRQ, but the question was how it would affect her adaptation to college and your answer doesn’t quite fit. But again, don’t go by me because I am not CB and who knows what they want!

I did not take the AP psych test this year, but I have some questions - Im the kind of person who needs to make outlines before answering FRQs - they told me that College Board took out the FRQ booklet where you could jot down ideas - is this true? If so, what did you do to prepare your response. Im worried because in some APs I NEED to do an outline because theres so much stuff to talk about. Any suggestion is appreciated!!

I’m just glad that ethnocentrism showed up on the sparknotes practice test that I took or else I would NEVER have heard about it. oh well. I think I did well enough on the MC that if I don’t get a few of the points on the free response, I’ll still get a 5.

Sorry, seratonin is a neurotransmitter not a hormone. Just to clarify things, their were 2 versions of the MC and 2 versions of the FRQ. One version of the FRQ has some girl playing a violin. The other one was with anabelle. The 2 MC versions was Longitudinal as the answer to #100 on MC. The other MC version had functional fixedness as another.

I may sound stupid for asking this, but order of explaining the terms doesn’t matter so long as your answer then right? I mean the order of terms they gave you was like the phobia, crystallized intelligence, and ethnocentrism, but I did ethnocentrism, intelligence, and phobia in the order instead. Would it matter? AP FRQs can be picky.

@swaggerdagger
Do you know how many people people got the different versions? I didn’t know they had separate versions, I thought everybody got the same thing, and everybody was talking about location on the second frq, so I would think a lot more people got that one…
