We just started Reagan/1980s.

Crap my “prestigious school’s talented teacher” just started The Cold War!

I just probably join this thread. I’m on the Ford and Carter Era.

we’ve been done for two weeks or so already, i’m rather stressed at how quickly it all crept up on me. either way, i havent really done much looking through the amsco but geez, i need better time management. what are ways you guys study productively?

@APDestroyer i absolutely love the pageant, so funny haha. it makes the reading doable, although i never had much of a problem with it save for the early chapters.

I really liked apush :). I highly recommend the amsco book. I also used a website that one of my friends created (has a useful timeline) – http://apush5.■■■■■■■■■■/.

How are you all studying for APUSH?

I have crash course and AMSCO and I’m considering rereading AMSCO, but then I’d have to go through like 2 chapters a day…and I don’t have time for that.

I think I’m going to do 2 FRQs questions a day. One DBQ and one essay, and reread crash course. Does this sound like a good idea?

I’m just reading through my Princeton review books, planning out essays every day (not writing, just planning), and going over key terms/events.
I’ll read my REA book starting the week after next probably, once I finish up my real reviewing.

@fr3ih3it I think the essay idea is good. At this point in the game, being able to put all the little details you have learned into context is what will enable you to do well on the essays. Honestly the multiple choice is so easy. What I have some trouble with is grouping all the things I have memorized into a theme and really being able to apply/analyze them.

Hello everyone.
I am a freshmen in high school, and I am taking APUSH next year as a sophomore.
I want two books. A detailed book, and a shorter book that I can learn quickly in.
I want to know who has the best detailed books and which books are best for cramming information in the night before.
Thanks.

hey guys! sorry if this has been discussed before, but what do you guys think of REA Crash Course, Essential Content, and AMSCO? My brother used AMSCO before (he’s older than me) but I saw it had some pretty bad reviews on Amazon so I just purchased the other two. But, looking at the last few posts on this thread, it seems like AMSCO is pretty popular… I’ll probably end up reading Crash Course when the AP test is a week away, but between Essential Content and AMSCO, which should I go through? Pros/cons of either?

I’ve been reading REA Crashcourse and it’s very succinct, I like it. Although I’m not ready for the FRQs at all… maybe I should practice.

I’ve been using AMSCO and 5 steps to a 5 (500 questions one)… This is one of the tests I’m not really focusing on… So I hope I can wing it somewhat…

still haven’t started studying for apush what do i do?
a) cry
b) cry
c) cry
i’m just kidding (kinda) but i’m so busy with other school things that it’s hard to sit down and get a good amount of studying in.

Crammin’ for that APUSH exam with three other APs and one college psych class final. ■■■. I can’t believe I’m still hoping for a 5…sigh

Y’all need to stop stressing. We still have two weeks!

I would be more stressed for Chemistry and Calculus if any of you guys are taking that. :P

Or AP biology too.

The test is May 14, and I’m only on chapter 9 of AMSCO…

This test isn’t gonna be too bad… You’ll be fine

@nkimmy im only on chapter 2…

@rllyrlyodd same. debating whether to switch over to essential content, which is a lot shorter…

@heldenleben @nkimmy
I would just stay with amsco unless you want to try GetA5 which is 20 hours total material
