**OFFICIAL April 2014 ACT (US ONLY)**

was this math really hard for anyone else?, I thought that english was stupidly easy but the math…

Did anyone answer @nickster322‌ 's questions on the math portion? I have the same questions myself

@VaishS I thought the math was tough. I’ve never been great at math on the SAT or ACTs though. I work too slowly and always have to guess on the last few

I found the reading and english sections to be relatively easier than the math and science ones… I omitted 5 on math and 4 on science.

The writing was hard for me since I couldn’t think of enough examples… so the highest I’m looking at is probably a 30 or less, 32 if I’m lucky. This is my first ACT, though, so I wasn’t expecting very much in the first place…

I got lucky for the past 2 tests, i got a 29 oct (28.5) and a 32 in feb(31.5) and barely studied between the two. this time though i thought science was somewhat difficult, english super easy, reading ehh, math was somewhat harder. i wanted a 33 but we’ll see what happens i guess!

@ocomea15‌ thank you, I thought i was the only one who had trouble with the math!!! everything else i did decent on

Are there curves for the ACT like there are with the SAT? I know the SAT will give like a +1/-1 if a particular section is very difficult; does the ACT do this?

who is spamming??

deleted file?

Can someone please post the reading passages links here?

Yes, the curves are slightly different for each test. If the math was truly more difficult, the curve will be more generous.

i accidently signed up for Non wirting ACT test… ANyone know the difference between non wirting and writing… or if major colleges won’t take non writing or not…

What’d you guys put for the last question on math?

Why did sol and the lady run into the house?
What was the difference between the descriptions?

Did anyone else think the science last two passages were really hard

@Mlolo98 … i think sol ran into the house to prevent from orange from falling…

they went to the house bc it was too hot

I thought that but I put heat because it said cool house. Lol I’m dumb

What do you guys think about the others?

I thought they went back to the house because it was too hot. Because the mom said something like “come on it’s too hot to be outside.” And for the last math question the answer was 4

went into the house. specifically said to escape from heat. 4 for the last math (i think). for the descriptions, the first description was nurturing and the second was ominous.

@Joshua961203, I think most of the upper-tier schools, such as the Ivy League universities, require the writing section. I’m not entirely sure if you’re considering those types of colleges, but you may want to consider that. Otherwise, I think it would be best to look at your desired college’s website and check their requirements.

@Mlolo98‌, I think I put because of the heat. But I may be thinking of a different question… Not sure on the math question since it was one of the ones I didn’t get to.
