I’m getting really anxious waiting for these scores.

Hopefully I got at least 30 fingers crossed

Did anyone else feel the science and math were a bit difficult this time?

science not too bad and math yeah a bit tough… Will scores definitely be posted 1 am tomorrow?

@davidd2197
If by tomorrow you mean monday, then yes.
Math sucked. Scored 34+ on all my math practice sections; I already know I got 6+ wrong.

Hey the harder the math that means that the grading scale will be more forgiving

Im normally good at math but I felt challenged on this 1

So a 6 wrong could be a 33 or 34, based on the “lenient” grading scale ive seen

Hey guys, I was wondering what my scores would be if I got -3 on writing and reading and a -7 on math and science. Good luck to everyone receiving their scores in the next 48 hours!

@master1006 Maybe, but doubtful.

@ProjectCollege If by writing you mean English, then probably 33 or 32.
Math and Science would probably be around 30-31 for both.

@ProjectCollege , I assume 3 wrong on writing would be a 33, and 7 wrong on math and science would most likely be around a 31 and 28 respectively.

@collegeman5 I’d expect a more lenient science curve.

@ckoepp127 , I hope you’re right. But curves generally seem to be harsher than what we expect. I’d rather underestimate than overestimate.
I just gave slightly more lenient scores than indicated by the following raw score conversion table.

http://www.olchs.org/assets/documents/RAW%20SCORE%20SCALE%20ACT1.pdf

Although the science curve on that table is absolutely brutal lol. 2 wrong is a 32…

Yep. That particular chart gets referred to quite a bit from people expecting harsh curves. The important thing to remember is that that’s only one particular curve. I seem to recall a couple others where -1 was still 36. I guess we’ll see!

@ckoepp127 Sorry, still used to SAT terminology. Do you think the scale will be more lenient than the average ACT?

@ProjectCollege For science? Yes. Well, I hope so.

If my last name starts with an S, will it be likely that my scores will be posted by 1am monday?

It goes alphabetically?

thats what I heard from other people, not exactly sure though. Have you taken the ACT before? @ckoepp127
