When I met with my rep last month she told me that she thought they were going to send out emails this year (to everyone, not just international applicants). But I’m not sure this is confirmed. Has anyone heard anything?

@fromnytoparis, I know they do emails for regular decision, but according to the Barnard website, they send out letters to US Early Decision applicants.

This is what it says:
“Finally, students who apply Early Decision should know that if they are applying for financial aid, their application for aid will undergo a thorough review for need-based aid, based on the projected income and asset information presented in the CSS Profile and prior year tax information. If qualified, a financial aid estimated package will be mailed with the Early Decision acceptance letter.”

honestly it’s pretty confusing because you have given us very little information (or maybe i’m just a little overeager) but from what i’ve researched, i think that either they send it through email and mail or just mail.

@collegebound4028, thank you! I didn’t know that. So I guess we’ll be getting emails and letters.

Also, I found this graph online that was interesting. These are the stats for the class of 2017 regarding rejections/acceptances. (Obviously, it doesn’t represent the entire class…just a portion.) I know everyone–including myself–is nervous so I hope this calms your nerves!

I have a question! I emailed my admissions counselor asking if she got my first quarter grades about a week ago and she never responded. Should I just drop it? I mean I don’t want to have like not turned them in.

On their spring.me page, it says that they’re going into committee this week. So they probably have your first quarter grades then, or else they would have contacted you.

on their spring.me page they won’t give a definite answer for the date decisions are released…i would assume if they expected the date to be earlier than dec 15, they would say so. because of their lack of answer i think that means it might be later…thoughts?

no it’s definitely going to be before dec. 15 because they’re only in committee for a week and i heard they send their decisions right away- as do all schools. i think that they haven’t officially announced the date, but they will probably do it soon.
