<p>Decision: Accepted</p>

<p>School applied to: College of Arts and Sciences </p>

<p>Objective:</p>

<pre><code>* SAT I (breakdown): None

  • ACT: 31
  • SAT II:
  • Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.9
  • Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): I have no idea.
  • AP (place score in parenthesis): None
  • IB (place score in parenthesis):
  • Senior Year Course Load: Honors Calculus, Honors Physics, Advanced Computers, Honors English, Sociology, Psychology. My school doesn’t have AP’s
  • Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): None
    </code></pre>

<p>Subjective:</p>

<pre><code>* Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Varsity Basketball(co-captain junior year, captain senior year) Varsity Volleyball(co-captain), Clarinet stuff(lots of band and individual performance and ensembles)

  • Job/Work Experience: Worked in the summers as a daycamp counselor(such fun!)
  • Volunteer/Community service:
  • Summer Activities: Worked, lamented working
  • Essays: I guess they were okay.
  • Teacher Recommendation: I didn’t read them, but they don’t hate me, so…
  • Counselor Rec: Didn’t read that one either.
  • Additional Rec: None
  • Interview: None
    </code></pre>

<p>Other</p>

<pre><code>* State (if domestic applicant): IL

  • Country (if international applicant):
  • School Type: Private Christian(Baptist)
  • Ethnicity: African-American
  • Gender: Female
  • Income Bracket: Waaaaay at the bottom
  • Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): URM, generally being amazing.
    </code></pre>

<p>Reflection[list]
[<em>] Strengths: URM, extracurriculars(most of which I didn’t write down here), my test score(which nobody thinks is good, for some reason.XD)
[</em>] Weaknesses:…Can’t think of any off of the top of my head. Just kidding. My math grades were pretty rough at the beginning of high school.
[<em>] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
[</em>] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted: NYU; Waitlisted, Vanderbilt, UVa, WashU(what is up with people WAITLISTING me?!) Rejected: UChicago(deferred EA), waiting for some others.</p>

<p>accepted! Yay! I was seriously in tears…its the first acceptance letter I got. But good luck to all of you on the west coast! I don’t know if this will help but in the acceptance materials they said that the Financial Aid/Confirmation Fees won’t be up beginning the 28th (suggesting the tabs probs won’t be up til then…probably because they realized so many people were finding out their decisions through the tabs). And for those rejected/waitlisted…your college app is about you, its YOU, and if the college doesn’t accept you, its just that they don’t appreciate you enough for who you are. There will be a college that appreciate you. Don’t give up and don’t despair, because life if fill of possibilities but it’s up to you to go after them. You guys are all beautiful.</p>

<p>Just a question: anybody definitely going to BC?</p>

<p>lolwut
Waitlisted</p>

<p>Accepted USC, Wake, NYU Gallatin,
Waitlisted Washington in St Louis</p>

<p>Lol BC, what the hell bro
Its ok i’m hitting USC up though :p</p>

<p>ANYONE on the west coast get there letters yet? the wait is killing me.</p>

<p>Reflection
Strengths: strong GPA, tough course load at respected HS, good EC’s, well-rounded
Weaknesses: SAT scores, lack of diversity, no demonstrated interest in business, B’s in math classes
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I don’t know, I thought my SAT scores would be too low. I guess they just saw consistent performance through all four years. I was deferred before they got to see my first marking period grades which were really good and my first semester grades were also good.<br>
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted: Villanova School of Business, Fairfield(Magis Scholarship), TCNJ, UMich(still waiting to hear from Ross), Richmond
Waitlist: Lehigh???
Rejected: Notre Dame(early action) :(</p>

<p>General Comments:
Pumped to be accepted, but I still have to wait to weigh all of my scholarship options from other schools becuase I won’t be getting any financial aid anywhere. I will be going to accepted students day April 10 and will probably decide between BC, Villanova, and Fairfield. Villanova has a better business school, but BC has been my top choice all along. Tough decision for sure and good luck to everyone else in finding the right school.</p>
