planning to wait to open all my decisions until this comes out… so hopefully its soon…
I did not apply for the FA, and I don’t see any “award button”.
Also, my click here button has changed to a label saying the decision is not available yet
My entire check list is gone and same with everyone the click here button is also replaced by “the decision is not available yet”. Didn’t apply for FA so no award item.
So. Anxious.
@uniquesnowflake Same here, exactly…
@BatWonder77 same I got rejected from all of those (minus CAL) and cornell, not a good week but it’s ok I think I’m going to commit to UCSB or CAL
Well denied from Penn, Cornell, and now Columbia. Hoping for a miracle.
Can people still see their check lists or is it just @cornell1203 and me? I don’t see other people mentioning this.
Desperately trying not to overthink every single thing at this point and not check this thread too often… fails miserably
Best of luck everyone!!
Who’s applying to the Engineering school?
@uniquesnowflake Did you apply for FA? I guess it might be related more to your FA status than your admission decision (hopefully)
Real talk: If we got rejected from Penn and Cornell, do we have a chance at Dartmouth and Brown??
lol Columbia, thanks for the rejection. Didn’t wanna go to NYC anyway hmph.
@hopeful196 I believe there is. Acceptance rate was 17% last year
@transferind97 Yeah, but that will probably mean the transfer rate this year will be lower than average (I really hope I am completely wrong about this).
@hopeful196 I believe you have a chance at being accepted to Brown, but realistically not Dartmouth (due to the fact that they accept around 20 kids each year and the transfer rate in has always been exceptionally low).
@brownquestion321 I love you with all my heart, I dont even care if I get in but just the feeling of hope until march 13 is good enough lol
@hopeful196 Awww-shucks.
Ok, so I originally did not want to post this, but I feel like I need to clear up some misunderstandings I have seen on the forum about the “financial aid tab”. In order the see the magical “third tab” you are required to:
First log off your Brown portal -> and then log in again, then…
1: Go to Brown Portal
2: Hit the “Financial Aid” tab on the top of the screen (next to the “personal information tab”)
3: Hit the “undergraduate students” link
4: Hit the “Accept Award Offers” link
5: Input a year for your financial aid package from a dropdown menu (This is the reason why you have to re-log into your Brown Portal. Otherwise, your year data will be saved and you will not see the dropdown menu).
6: You should see three tabs that read:
A: General Information(default tab, that’s highlighted) B: Award Overview C:Accept Award Offer <- magical tab
I know for a fact that one of my friends who did not apply for FA can get to this section of the portal. However, for that person the “Award Overview” and “Accept Award Offer” tabs are greyed out and unclickable. Therefore, even applicants who did not apply for FA should be able to see the third tab.
That being said, I do not believe that having that extra tab actually does anything, or gives any information about acceptances. It is probably just some administrative change to Brown’s online system. Just wanted to point out some facts in an effort to reduce mass hysteria
ps. If anyone has a different experience with the portal, I encourage you to comment. Also: if anyone could confirm the information I posted so it seems legit, that would be great.
According to last year’s thread, the click hear button changed to Admission decisions are currently not available two days before the decisions actually came out. So we might be notified of our decisions on this coming Friday, everyone!
Is there any kind of official statement on when transfer decisions will be available?
@Hanshen no I did not apply for FA. I hope it’s just the order of how they are processing materials for everyone. There are other people here who said they have not filed for FA but made no mention of check list or no check list.
Idk. Everyone is up in the air!
Hi, for @brownquestion321 ,
I did not apply for FA, and the Award Overview and Accept Award Offer tabs are clickable for me, and there are some instructions as well below that tabs.
I hope it really doesnt matter our decision though…
