What if you can see yourself in the “people” section of Brown Wiki?
Also I was able to log into the payment page, can everyone do this?
yeah…well, maybe, we all get accepted
I just wanna know where @lllleoooeooo got his information from saying that in the past people who could log into their payment accounts before decision ended up getting admitted. Also @cornell1203 , do you go to Cornell?
Lol honestly, I think trying to predict the outcome won’t help at all lol … The only option is to wait, I guess
I’ve been able to log into the payment page for awhile now. I don’t think it means anything.
@BatWonder77 I also applied for Cornell.
I’ve read some posts from years before that show a lot of students who didn’t file for aid get in… but that could also mean a lot of other things. Anyone know for sure if not applying will increase your chances? Is it true that if you don’t file this year you can’t for the rest of your time at Brown?
I promised myself I wouldn’t revert to my high school obsession with browsing college forums. But here I am. Not here to give stats or anything, but I have one questions in particular…
In general, does anyone have any sense if being an ethnic minority contributes to a transfer application? My father is black and hispanic and my mother is caucasian. I am not a FA candidate and am applying from a private university-- in other words, I do not fall under the narrative of being a first generation low-income college student applying from a public university that just SO happens to be a minority.
I’m aware colleges like to keep a healthy rate of non-white students for their college profile that they release every year-- but at this point in the game, when admitting a student to a class with an already established minority percentage, are admissions officers trying to fill a similar gap? I’m aware that most content on college confidential is entirely based off of speculation, but it’d also just be interesting to have this conversation and see what everyone has to say. Thanks!
anyone able to add more than 2 courses to their carts? https://cab.brown.edu
@NeumanFanatic how do you add to cart? It doesn’t show up for me anymore when I click on certain courses? You can already add courses?
same
I was able to add only once then the “Add to cart” button disappeared along with a few search options. There is a chance that they set the system to check credit status after the first add. And since we have not transferred our credits, we would have zero credit, meaning invalid student statuses. Hence, those buttons are hidden from us. All in all, if no one can add more than one course, then this means nothing. Sorry if I freaked anyone out.
Wow…I got the “Click Here” button today.
Just checked the portal, and its there
“Because of the limited number of spaces available in each semester, a small number of transfer applicants will be offered admission for the Spring 2017 term.” Does that mean no one will get accepted for Fall term?
I don’t see how that means no one will be accepted for Fall. Your quote clearly states a small number of transfer applicants will be offered admission for the Spring 2017 term. It doesn’t say all.
@Hanshen No, it just means that in addition to those admitted as transfer applicants to the Fall semester, some will also be admitted for Spring 2017, despite having applied for Fall 2016.
I guess we overreact to all the tiny phrases and changes of websites. Relax everyone
@cornell1203 totally agree and guilty haha
