Official BU Spring Transfer 2017

My financial aid was posted today and its terrible

My financial aid was posted today too. It still leaves me $20k to pay per year. I think I will attend.

@panda987

Do you mind sharing how terrible? Still awaiting my aid package. I’m one of the “federally independent but not institutional aid independent” students so I’m assuming I’ll get $100, hah.

@panda987 I just checked my applicant link. Nothing about credit evaluation. How did you send it?

@panda987 That sucks! Did you have any other schools that you applied to?

@blurrynights @aalharr I did apply to another school but I was rejected. Well my income is below 30K and my EFC is $0. I received about 22K(including loans) for the whole year. Means I have to somehow find 40K lol :((

For the people who got their fin aid packages is it under the fin aid status page?

@lizzi3 it’s under the Decision tab, it’s called Financial Assistance Decision

@aalharr you have to email it to credeval@bu.edu and every syllabus has to be attached separately.

My application says incomplete but when I emailed admissions they said it is complete and to ignore what it says on the portal… Has this happened to anyone else?

Has anyone been able to set up BU email?

Still waiting on my financial aid… Wish they wouldn’t cut it so close to the deposit deadline.

Submitted my application to CAS in late October and still haven’t heard back yet. Anyone else still waiting? Also, I know they state everyone should submit course syllabi with their app but if we received an email directly from the University asking for them, is that a hint that we were admitted? Not sure what’s holding them up! Need to pay my tuition at my current school if I’m not admitted!

Does anyone who has been accepted mind sharing their basic stats? 2 or 4 year school/public or private/GPA, etc.

@buddy92 I was accepted to Sargent College for human physiology. I’m transferring from a private 4-year liberal arts college. My highschool GPA was a 4.7 weighted and a 4.0 unweighted, my college gpa is a cumulative 3.6 (taking heavy science classes- 2 semesters of taking chemistry, biology, and physics together). My college extracurriculars were varsity cross country team, society of physics students, and I was awarded a research grant over the summer to work on my research in physics. My reason for transferring is that I want to be a part of a good program that will set me up for med school, as my current college isn’t very big on sciences. Hope that helps

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing. @transfer967

Is anyone attending BU for the spring?

@buddy92 You should call them because that’s so strange you haven’t heard back yet. The deadline for deposit is this Thursday, December 15.

@aalharr I called twice already and they said they can’t do anything. Decisions will continue being released through the end of this week. Maybe they save all the rejections till after the deposit is due. I’m worried now.

@buddy92 That sounds reasonable. Maybe they are only notifying accepted applicants. Can anyone confirm this? Has anyone been rejected? Please let us know so we know how to prepare.
