Accepted for Architectural Engineering. I checked sometime between 5 and 6 yesterday. Stats: 4.31 weighted GPA, 33 ACT, 7 APs. Congrats to everyone else who is accepted and good luck to everyone else! Also, I’m from CA.

@TSchaser there must be a reason behind it, but I do not understand why there’s either
- Not an explanation of how they release
- That it doesn’t come all out at once

CalPoly prefers to be shrouded in mystery. The departments do them separately whenever they feel they are ready.

Ineffeciency, desire to keep yield competitive, a mix of the both, who knows. It sucks and it can be done better but it hasn’t.

Their admissions decisions have always been done this way for at least the last 7 years. You can go back on CC and read the “Admissons decisions” threads every year. I don’t know why they don’t release all decisions at the same time, but this is normal for CP. Good luck everyone.

Then we’ll wait and see. No biggie. Thanks!

The student center is run by Oracle which sometimes can be very slow under heavy loads. During class registration people register for classes in rotations to probably to reduce system load.

Class registration here for 18,000 people takes approximately 13 days. So you can see why 51,000 applicants would definitely take a long time.

interesting to know. Does oracle have any other relation to Cal poly?

Any Kinesiology majors who were accepted? What are your stats?

I was just accepted for Communications today, as were many people at my school. On their portals, they all had an option that said “Accept/Decline” below “Application Status,” but mine doesn’t have it. It says that I’ve been accepted, so I’m not really sure what it is. I’m planning on calling Cal Poly tomorrow to find out, but is anyone else having that issue or knows what it’s about?

Just got accepted as a Journalism major! I’m in-state. :)

Erik

Thanks so much Erik! so for sure we’re seeing some more from Ag, while Math/Sciences and Lib Arts have begun today. Most likely a continuation of the same followed by either Bus or Engineering tomorrow.

Does anyone know whether they consider apps from those that didn’t make early decision before others?

Anyone heard from from Biology yet?

@jnavarro725 My son was accepted yesterday, but he did not have the additional links in his Student Center until he received an email from Admissions, which was today about 1 pm, I think it takes 24-48 hours to have the link in your student center to accept or decline.

has anyone heard from Business? specifically with a focus in accounting?

Erik, that was kind of you, thank you:)

BIOLOGY GUYS

Accepted to the college of Liberal Arts this evening! Had to check the spam folder!
MyCalPoly is loading slowly, though. I’ll probably have to wait to access it.

My D was accepted today into Political Science. She is instate and received a text that instructed her to check the portal.
