****official cal poly slo class of 2018 decisions****

@minicooper3 Where does it say that UCSD is releasing decisions on March 12th?

Yes Jakechan, every year they open up housing before all the acceptances are out. And it takes them weeks to do what other schools do in a day in terms of notifying everyone whether they are in or not. I don’t know why it doesn’t change — but people tell me it has been this way for decades, not years.

@charlesfries
i heard back yesterday at around 5:30 PM Pacific Standard Time

@charlesfries, can you share your major and stats?

Instate MechE here…just waiting and waiting

Accepted for civil engineering, checked my portal back on 02/22/14. Currently waiting on UC/privates, but am leaning towards SLO anyway. Is anyone already planning to attend the PolyCultural Weekend? :slight_smile:

@flora903 I live in SD (5 hour drive omg) so I still have to convince my parents, but I def want to see the campus for myself. Hope we’ll meet one another! What’s your major, if you don’t mind me asking?

@erenjaegers I’m majoring in economics. Hope to see you there!!

Think we’ll hear anything today? Nutrition major here. I guess we’ll make our initial housing payment to Chico next week.

@erenjaegers I am!

just called admissions office and they said that admissions will still be going out for another week and a half. I also asked if there are still acceptances are going out and the just said yes. Not too much help but seems like it could be still more of a wait.

I’m sure a lot of kids and parents were hoping to get some closure today. I know my daughter was! <sigh> Now we continue to wait.</sigh>

I called them as well and they said pretty much the same thing and that they are still crunching numbers, lol
I don’t understand why they can’t let the 35,000 denied applicants know by now as they already made there waitlist to work from if need be.

I did mention that I thought it was unfair for student’s that haven’t been accepted yet, as they are at a disadvantage for room selection which opened today. She then said that most everyone that has been accepted has heard by now but that they are still crunching numbers, I had to laugh.
I would say, if you haven’t heard by now it’s time to move on, my son included, sadly.

All that are hanging in there for hopes should move on the day the congratulation video from the dean came out.
It is the admission office that created the mirage!!!
Well, the school is dominated by the California future majority anyway. It is not top class anymore.
