Official Candidate?

<p>I got a letter saying that I was an official candidate for the Naval Academy. However, I don't remember doing a prelimn app for the place. Did they somehow get my info from my NROTC app(I haven't finished due to my terrible scores 490 M/680 CR)?</p>

<p>I want to join the military, but I'm nervous about being a plebe if I apply and get in.</p>

<p>It is my understanding your NROTC application gets viewed by USNA as well- this started last year and, as far as I know, is still in effect for this year. </p>

<p>Don’t let the plebe year scare you off from taking a look at USNA if you are interested in a career as a Naval Officer. You never know.</p>
