I finally caved and called also, and DS is NMF! 2270 SAT, 226 PSAT, 3.4 UW/5.7 W (no Cs), course rigor in spades, Eagle Scout. Was nervous because of UW GPA and perceived tightening of criteria over the last couple years. Anyway very relieved as he has applied to several schools with big NMF $$. He’s already been accepted to UCF (full ride) and WPI (his #1; we’re still mulling the numbers on that one. Good luck to all the other NMFs-in waiting and congrats to those who’ve had confirmation!

Just called NMSC office - D is a finalist! PSAT and confirming SAT far above cutoff, 3.9 GPA. (School has not received notification yet.)

also caved and called NMSC, they were really nice…James- he asked for the semifinalist number which I did not have, then they asked for name and birthdate and he said “Congratulations, he is a finalist”!..S is a 233 PSAT and 2340 SAT with a 4.0 UW from AZ

Just called and they confirmed that I am a finalist!! 221 PSAT (Texas), 2150 SAT, all A’s.
I also got my acceptance to OU this afternoon so today is a VERY good day for me! (:
Congrats to all the other finalists!

Do they only notify winners? I haven’t heard anything but I’m trying to not worry…

Sagebuz: Rejection letters were mailed several weeks ago so you should be good if you haven’t received one. If you are worried, why not call NMSC like others have? On the other hand, letters were mailed to finalists today so you shouldn’t have more than a day or two to wait.

We homeschool and had not received the “school” letter yet. I spoke with NMSC yesterday and they were very kind and confirmed that our daughter is finalist. I think kyproud is correct in that many letters have been delayed due to weather.

I spoke with NMSC this morning, mainly inquiring about the school notification. My daughter received verbal confirmation by phone of her finalist status yesterday but no letter received at her school as of yet. This morning I was told many schools have been inquiring about the “missing” letters as they were mailed on January 30. The guidance they are giving schools is to wait until the end of next week to allow extra mail processing time. If the notification is still not received, call NMSC and they will send out a duplicate.

Just called and my son is a finalist! Very nice woman on the phone, too.

Oh, and thanks to CC parents for helping with the process this year. Congrats to all!

We homeschool and still no letter here in Ohio as of Friday’s mail. Did verify finalist status with NMSC - they were very nice about it.

I called this morning to inquire about school notification letter having not been received as of yet. Daughter received verbal confirmation, by phone, yesterday that she is a finalist. NMSC confirmed school notifications were mailed on January 30 and are asking schools to wait until the end of next week for receipt. If not received by then, they will send out duplicates.

I just called and I made it even though I got 2 semester C’s junior year and dropped a class halfway through the year. I’m thinking it was a good rec that turned the tables for me… Congrats to everyone else that made it!

Just called our daughter made finalist - 226 PSAT in South Dakota, 2150 SAT - still waiting on that “official letter” though.

I just called NMSC because I thought that there had been an issue with my submitted SAT score… Turns out there wasn’t, and I’m a finalist! PSAT score of 216 and SAT score of 2170 and I’ve never received below a B.

DS made NMF!!! 230 PSAT and all A’s. Congrats to all Finalists!

Broke down and made the phone call. Was transferred to a gentleman who confirmed my son as a finalist! Yay!

Our school got the letter. Counselor emailed with the good news.

Must resist urge to call… S1 - Texas - 230 PSAT - 2220 SAT - 1560 core - rigor and recommendations are there. Gpa in the 3.7+ range.

Congrats to all. @mom21clgbnd - SoDak native here. Nice to see small state representing!

@bhmarie - S1 is also looking very hard at OU. Accepted a few weeks ago. Never even sent transcript. May meet some of you there.

We too are resisting urge to call. No real doubt though. Public school in Ohio. Leaning toward Alabama or Auburn while we wait for rejections from ivies and other elites. Hard to beat A & A’s nmf packages.
