General Comments: NO, I am not a recruited athlete! But I just found out today and am very humbled. I have to do this Comprehensive Studies Program, which from my understanding, is for students who need help getting acclimated with Umich’s curriculum and academics. I have no problem participating in this because I know my scores are crap compared to others that were admitted. My situation just goes to show that test scores aren’t everything.

After looking at the resumes of everyone else who was accepted i feel pretty honored to be considered among such a strong group of applicants. That being said, UM was never my first choice and hopefully i will get into one of my top choices. Although I certainly wold not mind going

Yeah jwtrae… scores don’t necessarily always mean everything, but URM’s tend to always have a better chance despite lower stats. Not trying to burst your bubble, but it’s true.

33 on ACT, top 6% of class, 4 APs this year, editor-in-chief of newspaper, president of business club, 2 varsity sports, volunteer work, good essays, good recs.

I don’t get this. Can’t help but be ****ed off

Accepted to the College of Engineering today after being deferred RD! :)
