Are we sure this isn’t another one of those hacks like everyone tried to do on Ivy day
A lot of this is pure speculation, but if people are able to access the deposit link, there is a high possibility you were accepted.
@anotherdooropens oh wait jk yeah i also got invalid login. yeah yours is a first lol.
Mine says “Decision Notification Letter”. I’m not reading much into it though.
But the likelihood of all of us getting the invalid login which could mean we were all accepted is very low.
tbh we have just 8 more hours left guys. id say just wait it out
Well if we all get invalid for the deposit portal it likely means denied, only 2 people could log in to that portal and that would line up more with the admissions stats
@woohooig @theboiboi I edited my post at the bottom! sorry for the misunderstanding. woohooig, maybe you missed a number or something, like me?
@tjay2000 actually that throwaway email didn’t work lol i guess i don’t use throwawaymail.com enough. Send it to pracrupach@qwfox.com and i won’t refresh the page this time and it will work lol
I would just like to add
there was a similar situation that happened with case western
there was a link for a portal where students can register for classes and such
some people could log in some couldn’t
I WAS able to log in and I WAS NOT admitted
I think the best thing would just be to wait and see
@anotherdooropens maybe lol but i doubt it honestly i probably got denied
@tjay2000 or honestly if i just post three more times i can pm you instead lol
@theboiboi What is the admission ID? How are people getting that without their official letter?
@tjay2000 What does your Admissions documents sent say on your portal?
@woohooig hey me too but whether we get in or not, this does not define us! we are not defined by the few hundred words we were asked to write… still trying to convince myself of this
@mmstanfordbound right click on the Financial Aid Notification button and find the VAR2 that is your admissions ID.
Use that to go to the links: https://cas-webapp.andrew.cmu.edu/ntia-deposit/index.html and https://cas-webapp.andrew.cmu.edu/ntia/
The first one, for most of us, it is saying Invalid Login, and for the latter, most of us are able to access it.
@theboiboi I haven’t applied for Financial Aid so …
.
I am thinking about taking a gap year if I get rejected. Is it really that terrible idea to take a gap year?
me too haha :’) literally been rejected/WL from all of my reaches and this is basically my last hope. But my why Carnegie essay was meh and kind of generic so idk not really expecting much better. it’s all chill though, there’s always my state school! @anotherdooropens
