<p>@Sallyrush, I never said the only and main reason for Columbia is because it’s an Ivy univ. When I refer to Ivy, I meant the level of education and prestige of a university. It’s a shame that you think that I applied Columbia ED just cuz it’s an Ivy. No, I hate such reason and take offense when others accuse me with such. Do you think there’s other university in the city of New York that has similar level of education as Columbia? Ivy prestige definitely was a plus but that is not the reason I applied ED. Just so you know, if all I wanted was solely Ivy prestige, I would’ve applied to either Harvard or Princeton SCEA. I wish you read my post till the end before you made such rash accusation.</p>

<p>I’ve participated in Columbia-Penn business program and stayed at their dorms over two weeks. Then I made my decision. High rank, Ivy, satisfying surrounding specially New York City’s, one of the best education institution in America, unique programs related to major, what else do I need to say?</p>
<p>@HateSMUS Sorry if I offended you. I did read your entire post, and that was the impression I got: that you liked Columbia because it was an Ivy and only Ivy in NYC, and I’m sure many others got that same impression too. I’m glad that’s not the only reason you applied! It wouldn’t have mattered to me one bit but your next 4 years could have been miserable if you chose Columbia solely on prestige.</p>
