^When did you fax them??

Friday night.
Just on the deadline! Columbia’s the only university that required me to fax stuff and I realized that only on Feb 28th!! I was under the impression that it accepts e-mails!!

Oh I faxed them on Feb6. On Feb28, I emailed them that my status is still not updated. They answered back that they have never received my fax. Then I faxed them on Mar1 and also on Mar2. The status hasn’t updated yet!!:(

They received the faxed forms!
My status updated to “received” on 3/4/2013

Sup. Anyone receive an Egleston Scholar thingy in an overnight package? I think it’s for SEAS, and it’s kind of sweet how they mailed it so quickly as opposed to just sending an email! D’aww!

^If that package is also sent for int’l students, then I will have to cry!!:(

Does one have to apply for the Egleston Scholarship or does the school select automatically from the students who submiited thier application to the SEAS program?

I am an RD applicant. A woman e-mailed me asking me about whether or not I have sent in my IDOC yet and wanted me to keep her updated on the processing. Another person e-mailed me regarding an interview for ASP-- they want to schedule a time for me ASAP. Does this mean they’re potentially interested in me on a higher level/checking me out? I’m just hoping my story and I got noticed, not necessarily assuming they like me.

@florian. It’s automatic.

@spike. Nope, it’s standard procedure.

@randomazn14 I got that package too! Congrats, and hope to see you at the Egleston Scholars weekend.

lvdrlvr- it would be my honor to meet you there!

And they’re paying for our trip too! I almost sniffled with emotion. That’s just…so damn chivalrous.

I know, right? That’s so nice of them; I’ll definitely try to attend. (:

Somebody at my school got a likely to Columbia.

…there goes my chances.

quick question…are decisions coming on march 28? i can’t seem to find a definitive date. thanks, and good luck to all!

Yup decisions come out the 28th. Either at 5 or 6 pm, not sure.

28th. In the evening. There’s going to be a lot of traffic though!! Haha!! :)

A likely letter to another applicant in your school does not mean that you won’t be accepted. You can still be accepted!

Hi guys, I’m new here and a lot of the things here are confusing me. Are we supposed to be interviewed for Columbia? And does everyone get a letter indicating whether or not it is likely for them to be accepted?

@peking
Hey there!
Interviews are usually not offered to internationals (it seems like you’re international from your ID) and it won’t affect you in a negative way not to have an interview.

Likely letters are only sent to the best of the best applicants. Only about 100-300 letters are sent out every year. If you get this likely letter, you’re in.

Best of luck!

I never got an interview and I’m not an international. I know people who applied to Columbia at my school got an interview. I applied to Fu Foundation; does that make a difference?
