<p>Damn, REJECTED. wtvr, at least I’m not the only one:
[YouTube</a> - Hitler gets rejected from college](<a href=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w3YJjdXZBM]YouTube”>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w3YJjdXZBM)</p>

<p>ACCEPTED!!</p>

<p>I won’t list everythin here, if you’re interested just see my other posts</p>

<p>SAT: 2140(600M, 790CR, 760W)
3.75 GPA
Born in Mexico, lived in the US, graduated from school in india–NOT indiana (American citizen). been to three high schools in Idaho, Ohio, and India
Aout 10-20% of class
5 in AP Pol and Gov, 5 in AP English Language
APs: EVS, English Lit, English Lang, Statistics, Euro, USH
TONS OF THEATER, MUSIC, WRITING, DEBATE
essay was on a summer camp in gtown and how i raised $5000 for it, and how i was the only mexican there, and the youngest student.
i put inglorious basterds as one of my fav movies. but also TONS of foreign films</p>

<p>Reflection:
I’m not too sure how I got in. I’ve heard that Columbia likes artsy, passionate kids. I fit into that, but my SAT and GPA are much lower than most (although my GPA was 3.9/4 last three sems of HS, with 5 AP classes senior year). i was also rejected from Vassar, Uchicago, and Yale, but admitted here, at Gtown, and Middlebury.
college admissions are completely RANDOM</p>

<p>Tips:
i got into some schools i shouldn’t have gotten into, and was rejected/waitlisted at some I was sure i would get into. i spent too much time on CC and stressing about colleges. apply, stress about your essays, and then chill and don’t think about colleges until decisions start rolling in.
aiight peace!!
to me, columbia accepts the people with most POTENTIAL, not just the ones that look great on paper.
oh, btw, i applied to Columbia College RD, NO LIKELY LETTER</p>

<p>Reflection
*Strengths: “Why Columbia”
*Weaknesses: ECs
*Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I’m a very average applicant and Columbia is not the average school.
*Accepted: U Chicago, UC Berkeley, Wesleyan University UC Davis
*Waitlisted: Columbia University, WUSTL
*Rejected: Yale, Brown</p>

<p>General Comments: I kinda expected a waitlist or rejection so I’m not too shocked though I’m still very disappointed. Columbia has been my #1 college choice since I was 11. For any lurking admissions officer, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a waitlist acceptance and would still choose Columbia in a heartbeat.</p>
