@artisticnative, I agree with what the others have said. It is not a bad sign that you have not yet been contacted… nor is it a good sign that I was. It is just logistics, if there is an available alum in your area, you will be contacted. I have also seen several older posts in which people were admitted to Cornell and never had an alum. meeting.

30 days until Dec 15!!

for anyone interested: my interviewer told me decisions will be released dec. 15th

29 days until Dec 15!!

The nerves are really starting to act up…

If you look at prior decision notifications since 2009, they have typically happened on the second Thursday in December. 2013 was an exception because Common Application had issues that year and most had to extend their early app deadline by a few days. If they revert back to past pattern then I suspect decisions will be released Dec. 11…consistent with hotelies…all just a speculation.

So nervous you all I cannot stop thinking about it

I can’t stop thinking about it either :-SS

The wait is never ending. I know last year, someone in my school got deferred, and then wait listed.

Imagine that, applying in October, and not hearing back until like May :’(

@jamesjunkers, please tell us that there’s a happy ending to ^.

I had a dream about getting into Cornell and then receiving a letter saying “no lol jk wrong person.”
I can’t stop thinking about this.

@connect1234, there is. He got in!

Does anyone know if we have to send quarter grades/ has anyone been asked for quarter grades?

@rancherjolly98 we don’t need to send in our senior year grades for the first quarter unless you really want to. If Cornell needs your grades for the first quarter, they will contact your counselor.

Just got contacted for an alum meeting. Incredibly scared.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to check if there are alumni in my region. I really want a meeting

Applying ED to COE as independent major, talked about how I wanted to mix math and science.(don’t have foreign language credits for CAS)

From Canada

Stats: Grades: 89/100 (top 10 percent)
ACT: 33(went up from 29)
E:32(went up from 29)
M:35(stayed the same)
R:28(stayed the same)
S:36(went up from a 25, yes a 25)

SAT 2:
Math 2: 800
Physics:710

I’m worried about 2 things. Will my reading keep me out. And is my physics bad? I only finished grade 11 physics and had to teach myself the grade 12 curriculum in a short time, all while studying for the ACT and keeping up with school. I am doing great so far in my classes, and have a very good physics mark, and I love my physics score, but heard that it was bad, is it?

I’m hoping my math marks get me in, cuz I did mention that I want to study math, but in the COE, not in CAS

@jamesjunkers, Nice!

@jamesjunkers which school? I heard Cornell accepts only a few off the waiting list. Good for him!
