Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

@rancherjolly98, Yes, my GC sent my Q1 grades to Cornell.

is first sem midterm marks considered q1 grades??? @connect1234‌

@manas1997‌ : I doubt that your reading will keep you out, I mean, you’re applying to CoE not for Arts, so…
I can’t say about your Physics because honestly, I haven’t taken it myself, but it should be alright.

@manas1997, Sounds like it but idk for sure about your school. My HS has terms (semesters) and each term is divided into quarters (midterm 1 = Q1). Term 1 ends in mid/late Jan. so those grades are too late for ED. GC sends Q1 grades for ED1/ED2/EA apps and Term 1 grades for RD.

ty guys

@manas1997: No prob, also which intended major within CoE are you applying too? We started a count of people.

Actually I think it was jamesjunker who started it?

@manas1997 ur gpa is wat you should be worried about

@SweetIceTea, accepted off the wait list for CALS

@Autumn97 : i am an independent major

@superdub : its canadian percentages, i am fine in that regard, an A is 85+ in Canada, and my midterm marks are 98, 98 and 96, plus my test scores show how my school performance is.

If you guys ever get bored here is a documentary following some students in their entire ivy league application process such as them during interviews, writing essays, viewing results, high school graduation…

This is part 1/10, the other parts are right underneath.

@Kungpaoasian, is it worth the watch? I’m asking in a completely serious manner. Was it boring or actually a good use (a good waste) of time?

@jamesjunkers I watched parts 1, 2, 7, and 8. We are past parts 1 and 2 in real life. We are now in 7 and approaching 8. Good use of time not really sure, but there are some things these kids did wrong that we can learn from.

i watched it, they arent applying to Cornell, well they are, just not as a top choice.

Okay, I’ll watch it. Thanks for the link :D

Here is
Part 2: Ivy Dreams 2/10 Background: <a href=“Ivy Dreams 2/10 Ready for High School - Asian Americans - YouTube”>Ivy Dreams 2/10 Ready for High School - Asian Americans - YouTube;
Part 7: Ivy Dreams 7/10 College Interviews: <a href=“Ivy Dreams 7/10 College Interviews - Asian Americans - YouTube”>Ivy Dreams 7/10 College Interviews - Asian Americans - YouTube;
Part 8: Ivy Dreams 8/10 College Decisions: <a href=“Ivy Dreams 8/10 College Decisions - Asian Americans - YouTube”>Ivy Dreams 8/10 College Decisions - Asian Americans - YouTube;

At times it was boring and I skipped some parts, but it was interesting nonetheless.

@manas1997 True, but it was interesting watching all the different personalities and how it turned out for them.

@jamesjunkers no problem, have fun!

Also, is anyone’s financial aid checklist somewhat right at all?
Mine says I haven’t submitted css, and doesn’t even make mention of tax filings

@kungpaoasian I have seen it too! I kind of feel bad for Mike who wanted to go to Columbia. I wasn’t a big fan of Sophie who called her high school “not challenging enough” at her Penn interview.

Part 8 goes into Part 9:
Ivy Dreams 9/10 Admission Decisions: <a href=“Ivy Dreams 9/10 College Admission Decisions - Asian Americans - YouTube”>Ivy Dreams 9/10 College Admission Decisions - Asian Americans - YouTube;

@jamesjunkers Yes everyone’s is like that. It will be updated November 24th.

@sweeticetea Sophie was too cocky, and I think Mike would have struggled too much at Columbia. I did feel sad for him though, and he may have gotten in if he submitted the required subject tests!
