Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

@acdc1272‌ There might be a lot of alumni, but they need to volunteer to be part of CAAAN. There are only about 9500 alum volunteers.

So my alum contacted me and I emailed back…
and I haven’t heard back for 3 days?!

Oh ok I didnt know that, that makes it less stressful. Thanks!

@Autumn97‌ I would try emailing again soon.
I just came back from my “interview,” and it went well. She talked about her experience and things she really loved about Cornell. I asked her a bunch of questions about her time at Cornell and also about more general Cornell things. Then she asked me a few questions, like what my interests are, etc. And she asked me to tell her about things that are on my resume since she wasn’t told much about me. She was really laid back and helpful and said really nice things about me, too.
So if anyone has any questions about the alumni meetings, feel free to ask.

@hopefulrm‌ : I just emailed again, thanks for the advice. It sounds like your CAAN thing went well! Anyways best of luck.

My D hasn’t gotten any emails yet either regarding a CAAN interview She is applyig to CAS and we live north of Boston on the NH border.

Thanks for the info about the Dec 11th date!

@hotelieatheart, indeed, and so glad that Dec.11th rumor now seems to be true…regardless of outcome, the sooner the better

Lol I live around Buffalo and apparently a person I know had to have a phone interview because the weather was so bad.

I applied early to CoE as an undecided major.

There are at least 3 other people from my school who also applied ED to CoE and at least one other person to another college. We’re similarly qualified. Do you think this hurts my chances of getting in?

@cumberbatch Well, it shouldn’t, since you’re similarly qualified. There is no quota as in saying that they can only accept a certain percentage of kids from a certain school. Last year, all three kids who applied to Cornell got in from my school. But I do know that the distinction between you and your peers are your essays.

I applied early to arts and sciences if you want to add me to list

3 weeks left until Dec 11!!

@Kungpaoasian‌ are you gonna do that every day for next 21 days?

hell yea he is

@‌jeff0418 @superdub Either of you guys can do it if you want. I’ve just become too obsessed with Cornell. I need to start focusing on getting other applications in as well.

I like the countdown, it adds to the suspense.

@cumberbatch- Just wanted to say “I love your name!”

If Cornell hasn’t yet called for your Q1 grades, is that a good thing or a bad thing…?

21 Days 5 Hours and 19 Minutes haha

hey guys brand new to this site, applying to cals bio and society. I actually just had my “interview” yesterday. He made me tea and fed me biscuits believe it or not. He also gave me tea leaves to bring home.
