@cumberbatch Go by yourself is good enough. I had an interview with a man who graduated from AAP two weeks ago. I was in a hurry and did not bring anything with me. But still, I had a nice talk with him about one hour in his office. Believe it or not, we even touched the topic about the suicide issue in Cornell and the fence under the bridge…

@cumberbatch, agree with previous posts, go by yourself. I had my alum. meeting this week and it really was very relaxed and comfortable. No transcript, resume, papers or projects are necessary to bring with you, unless you want to, but you should be prepared to answer and ask questions. Have fun!

Any legacies received interview requests?

@leno4ka I’m a legacy, and I have an alumni interview/meeting set for this Sunday.

@leno4ka
@BroomOfThought,
Did you guys get that letter in the mail from admissions? Just trying to see if it was sent to all legacies

my one buddy applied to cornell ed at i think cals with like a 1400 sat score. do you think he even has a chance of getting in?

I didn’t get a letter in the mail. I’m not a legacy but should I be concerned?

@skiiing is this “buddy” yourself?

@skiiing, if it is a 1400 out of 1600 (and assuming “your friend’s” writing score is similar) then absolutely!

@connect1234 no out of 2400

@skiiing, better have a really good hook or two…

@skiiing 1400/1600? But anyways that’s not enough information to determine whether or not he has a chance. However if that is a 1400/1600 I don’t think that will hurt (or help) his application, it’s just average.

On a different topic, once admission decisions come out, would anyone want to start a class of 2019 group message on groupme or similar? If accepted of course (crossing my fingers)

Did anyone send Q1 grades or receive a call about them? If so, do they just talk to your GC to see if the grades are maintained or do they want an official copy sent over?

I sent my Q1 grades, they were my best throughout hs, so I figured I might as well

@jamesjunkers I asked my GC counselor if I should send in my Q1 grades. My average was 4 points higher than usual (94 vs a 98). So she said it was a good idea and she mailed it. She said normally people do not unless the college asks or they have some dramatic change worth sharing.

Even though we applied ED for a certain school, such as CAL, would we be able to transfer to like CAS or CHE if we wanted to as like a sophomore or junior?

@jamesjunkers No, I haven’t received a letter. Maybe you live closer to Cornell than most other legacies? When did you get the letter?

Just found out another person is applying to CALS AEM in my school. Hope it doesn’t ruin my chances…

I wanted to send my Q1 grades because theyre my best in high school. I called Cornell to check if my counselor sent them and they said that even if not, they need them anyway and will contact the school to get them. So yeah, they get your grades
