@jamesjunkers Actually, I just received the letter today!

18 days :)

@123211 I asked my GC a similar question. He said that they don’t have a quotas on how many people they accept from an individual school. So no, him applying won’t have an impact on your chances. Also if it helps 17/32 that applied from my school were accepted so I don’t think it hurt their chances (maybe the opposite?)

@Ericthenewyorker I think it’s 19 days assuming December 11th haha. Time is going to go by fast with thanksgiving break and all of the holiday events!

@Cornell19 32 people in your school applied to Cornell?!

In my school, only 4 kids have applied this year…

Can somebody please explain what the letter says? I haven’t received any letter…

@123211, 5 kids in my grade ED’d to aem this year so…

@jamesjunkers See idk if I should consider that as competition since applicants are from the same school. If all 5 are qualified would they accept all 5?

@123211 as far as I’ve been told, it doesn’t matter how many kids are applying from your school. Stop worrying man

@BPearlman97 Thanks! But I don’t think thats possible now… 18 days

Anyway, you guys are all talking about some letter… What is the agenda of the letter?

@123211 the letter was apparently sent to Cornell legacies. It was to give them some additional information about the school. Not sure how much more content was on it

Went birding today at my local national park with some park rangers and used Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s database to identify some birds that weren’t very common. Cornell is pretty awesome!!

@jamesjunkers, how do you know how many in your school applied this year ED to the same program as you? we’re all pretty quiet about it to keep the pressure down, well except for a few annoying people who run around telling everyone haha but none of them are HumEc, yay! ofc previous numbers are in naviance but not by college, just Cornell in tot. Also, very cool @Kungpaoasian (and knew you couldn’t stay off until 12/11 ) @123211, just ignore all the legacy posts if you are not one (I’m not either), it’s a lucky hook for them.

Sorry I’m not as good at counting down the days as @Kungpaoasian

lol i think im the only one in my region applying to Cornell, definitely only one in my school, cant wait for dec. 11th, too lazy to write my other essays lol, im screwed if i dont get in.

@connect1234, everyone in my school shares where we’re applying

I believe I’m the only one applying ED to Cornell this year from my school. Most seem to apply RD so they can keep there doors open in case they get in to like Stanford/MIT or something crazy

To those people who are saying that their school has a ton of Cornell applicants, what region are you guys in? New York?

@Cornell19 I would do the same, but I am not in love with the other schools, I really like some of them, but not like Cornell. However, if Cornell rejects me, Cornell’s dead to me…
