Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

@kungpaoasian nice, hopefully both of us will get in! Bring some southerness to New York.

@SweetIceTea That’s the plan :smiley:

Getting worried, haven’t received confirmation email yet :O

Hey guys. I applied ED to Cornell AEM at CALS. My SAT is the only thing that i feel is holding me back. My GPA is a 4.0/4.0, and i have very good ECs and Essays. My SAT score, however, is a 1980, which is horrible for me. I just wanted to know from AEM students/applicants if this will definitely cause me to get denied.

@123211‌ You should take one November. Did you sign up for it?

Hello! When do we receive our confirmation emails?

@happyhellos a couple of days after submitting your application.

@jeff0418 I signed up for the subject tests for november:( Idk has anybody ever gotten in with a ~1980?

Thank you! and from what I’ve heard, there were definitely cases where people got in with low sat scores and high gpas…All comes down to your essays! Best of luck on your November tests :)

Especially at AEM - with a 9% acceptance rate, essays mean A LOT… I’m also applying to AEM, hope we both get in!!

@happyhellos I got mine within 48 hours. What is your intended major?

Hey guys I have applied for ED to Cornell. International applicant. My profile everything pretty awesome except for SAT 1 score ( I have a 800 on math though) do I stand a chance?

@Rag22304‌ everyone has a chance! At the Ivy League lvl chances are slim for everyone. Don’t worry about a single test score or two, thats not going to determine acceptance.

Kind of jumping back into the thread, applied ED late September for ChemE. Can’t wait for the decisions to come out!

not really i started them like last week

@zenithar143 same lol, I started mine right after the Veterans Day lol. What major you going for?

I’m going for ILR as a URM. Keeping my fingers crossed

Engineering ED From NY. Lots of NY people here  Have everything submitted and am very nervous…45 days and counting…

Also, I called to make sure…they said highest ACT works and you can even use score choice to just send in SAT 2 scores

What should a confirmation email look like? I got one from the Common App right away but it sounds like I should be on the lookout for something from Cornell.

@jumperchick‌ : It looks like applicantid-distribution Cornell University ApplicantID etcetera… It usually takes a couple of days

Friendly reminder that the deadline is in a minute. So if you have not applied yet, you should probably apply soon.
