We visited Cornell in August. She loved Cornell so much that she changed her top choice from Columbia to Cornell. Time will tell, if that was a good decision.

Good luck to everyone posting here!

@Todayseinstein- Along with her ED app to Cornell, my D submitted EA applications to Villanova, UCONN and UMass Amherst. If she either gets rejected or deferred to RD at Cornell, she will submit apps to BC, Syracuse, and UDel.

CHE Human development International student~

Hey guys…i got confirmation email from common app on the 31st…still havent received email from Cornell…im worried something is wrong…Does it take this long or should i call or email them?

@AC15786: There are about 4000 ED applicants they have to process, so I’m sure it’s just taking a little bit of time, but I don’t think it would hurt to call to make sure if after a day or two it still hasn’t come.

If I feel this nervous every day for the next month, it is going to be a problem…:D

@jamesjunkers I have gotten in a bad habit of going on CC for at least an hour everyday lol.

@SweetIceTea, yep, same! With admissions, and the October ACT, I’m on here constantly

@jamesjunkers Did you ever call Cornell about their send all scores policy? Do they still need SAT with ACT?

@SweetIceTea‌, yes I did!
They said that you have to send all the scores from whatever test you choose. I asked multiple times to clarify. They said that it was okay to send just my act scores and my SAT ii scores, omitting my SAT scores as long as I didn’t omit any act or Sat ii

@jamesjunkers you are AEM right? If so, you got me worried for a second because ILR said something different lol.

@SweetIceTea‌, yeah AEM (cals)… In reality, I’m sure they have no way of knowing if you sent them everything anyways, but whatever, I don’t think any of my scores were hurting me

@jamesjunkers yeah, ILR said something totally different (if you send ACT, no SAT required and even if you send SAT subject test, they won’t evaluate it in the admissions process and you don’t have to send all of them). I don’t believe colleges can find out if you sent everything because it would a violation of privacy agreements because you own the scores so ACT/SAT cannot disclose it without your permission.

You must of misunderstood me. That is the same thing cals told me. I still sent my SAT 2’s just because they’re good so why not.

And in terms of owning the scores. I believe (I may be wrong) that although you own your ACT scores, you DO NOT own your SAT scores, College Board does

@jamesjunkers I might have misunderstood you lol, “as long as I didn’t omit any act or Sat ii” IDK if you meant SAT II but LR said I can omit SAT II.

Yeah, you are right. My bad. Sorry, I’m on my phone, so it’s difficult to re read what I write to make sure it makes sense. Sorry for the confusion. @SweetIceTea‌

@jamesjunkers its ok, thanks for the info.

I sent in my application on October 30th around 10 a.m… now it’s been almost 5 days and i still haven’t got the confirmation email… : ( Is that normal???

Does Cornell (Cals) superscore the SAT?!! I know they see all scores but do they only consider the highest ones?
