<p>My son was deferred CHE. Congrats to all with better news!</p>
<p>accepted CoE will post stats later!</p>
<p>Sorry to hear, aimforthesky. Their loss. I’m sure you’ll find another school that you will love just as much as Cornell!</p>
<p>Accepted CAS!!!
Congratulations everyone!!!</p>
<p>im literally in shock right now. i don’t know what to do. def wearing my cornell sweatshirt tomorrow to school!</p>
<p>Accepted AEM! Very excited, I guess I’ll post a few stats.
32 act, 1480 sat (700 math, 780 reading)
3.97 uw gpa, 7th in class at very competitive charter school.
Tons of extracurriculars and leadership positions, biggest was being an eagle scout,
Essays were pretty amazing, writing is my strong point,
Recommendations were amazing too
This is my first post here, and the only reason I’m posting is because I was wondering if anyone knows how you fnd out your financial aid package?</p>
<p>Oh and I’m a urm too</p>
<p>To Those who were accepted, Do DID see ur fin aid so Heres to all Those who said FIN aid and Admissions wereTOTALLY Separate. I told You so.</p>
<p>Lol</p>
<p>i was rejected. i kinda knew it bc really low stats SAT1950 gpa 4.1</p>
<p>Accepted to the School of Engineering!!!
I’ll post some stats:
SAT 1780 (670 Math, 540 Reading, 570 Writing)
Math I and II SAT 640’s.
Physics 630
24 on ACT.
GPA 3.75 unweighted and 5.555 weighted.
Guess what, screw you college confidential and those who thinks scores are everything. Screw scores, screw them, screw them, screw them real hard.
You don’t need +2000 in your SAT or 800’s in your SAT II’s to get into Cornell, you just need to be well rounded and do a lot. Scores are just a number that don’t say much about a student.
Anyway, congrats to all of you that got in. :D</p>
<p>Actually sciman, i didnt see my financial aid before hand so it is separate I think. Sorry you didnt get in, I’m sure you’ll be successful wherever you go. If anyone can tell me where we find out our financial aid packages it would be much appreciated.</p>
<p>Diego, were you recruited or something? Good job!
@Sciman, I’m sorry. you’ll wind up at a good school, I’m sure. I could see my finaid in that I could see that I had none. I could go to the page where it was and it was just blank with something on the bottom saying that was my aid for 2013/2014</p>
<p>I didn’t see my financial aid either, I got in. I’m very sorry to hear that though :(</p>
<p>@milescenabeverly</p>
<p>Hey congrats on your acceptance. Hate to be that guy to ask the age old question but: are you a minority by any chance? </p>
<p>I’m a junior and haven’t applied yet but my friend did and he got declined from EA. I’m not trying to be offensive and I hope you understand because he scored about 450 higher than your sat with an 800 math. Yeah…lol.</p>
<p>I’m not for/against affirmative action and I would just like to get a little insight on your application because I’m at around a 2100 sat now and I would think of Cornell as a high reach atm. Side question: Are the admission rates higher/lower at different schools of Cornell?</p>
<p>Again, congrats milescenabeverly and I hope you don’t perceive me as a racist.</p>
<p>Nope, I wasn’t recruited. I’m just a regular high school student who busts his ass off everyday. Nothing special about me.</p>
<p>5.55 waited lol (if i spelled that right i would prob be accepted lol. Thats not “nothing special” diego congrats to all who made it. I hope none of you think im bitter. I went in as a long shot hoping Just maybe i would get accepted. I am proud of those who did make it in. Its tough.</p>
<p>Just got accepted to Cornell Engineering!! So stoked right now, you have no idea!
Here’re my stats:
780 math, 750 reading, 750 writing
800 math II C
740 chemistry
Well written essays (if I say so myself) and great college recs (or so I’ve been told)
Only had a few extracurricular activities and didn’t have any leadership roles, but I have a legitimate excuse (ill for a year and recovering while in school for 2)
Have a 4.32 (weighted) GPA.
I also attend a difficult, well known private school in CA.
But, yeah. SO PSYCHED TO BE IN! If you didn’t make the cut, good luck with your other applications!
Peace</p>
<p>@Diego- good for you, man!</p>
