Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2017

Are you kidding me…someone got in with a 1730 SAT/3.0 GPA/25 ACT? Guess I should have learned how to dribble a basketball before I began applying to colleges, “dawg.”

^ thats not right too many qualified applicants got turned away for that person to get in…

statistically, whats the chance that someone who got deferred would get in regular?

About 10% according to an admissions officer that posts on CC

Also, if your midterm was missing one grade and it was a petty one (like, if you have a 3.9-4.0 and your midterm was also a 3.9-4.0), and they don’t ask you for it, my friend who works in admissions said that form what he gleaned, either your app is so bad that they don’t need any more info, or you’re a likely candidate for entry (not that you’re a godly candidate, just that you look like you’re good). He’s obviously not a replacement for an admissions office, and I apologize if this gives anybody anxiety or false hope. Please take it with a grain of salt.

@ram0276 Or maybe you should have fixed that crooked personality of yours before applying to college. Also he was recruited for football not basketball. It must suck to be bitter and ignorant, huh?

hahaha some people

Everyone has something to offer. If it’s sports, so be it. What some people don’t realize is that being recruited for a sport in college has required a lot of discipline and hard work over a person’s high school years. It requires a lot of natural-born talent, as well. most people are gifted with that. If a sport is someone else’s passion, who are we to criticize? Someone may have a special academic talent, someone else contributes an athletic talent. Get over it.

anybody get into ILR? what were your stats like? how’s the ED admission rate?
