Ugh. I felt pretty good about my chances but then reading the Brown thread with all of the deferrals of kids with 2300’s is unsettling to say the least. I’m afraid I don’t stand out enough.

For ILR, I understand the emphasis of “fit” within Cornell; however, does anyone know what is mean’t by it. Looking back at my essay’s, I did not incorporate what ILR would have taught or helped me, but I did put in what my passions are, which is to build and manage a technological business. I put a lot of emphasis on my family, me, and my goals . I also used my 35 hour a week work experience along with my essay. Is this okay; in other words, does it fit the ILR curriculum?

The decision date is coming up, and I hope we all have wonderful news.

^oh my god, so im not the only one who noticed that Brown deferred a TON of 2300 kids. I also just saw Stanford deferred a 2400 and rejected a 2350. It actually just goes to show that universities want more than high test scores

@crowlady, thanks! I will as soon as possible.

I got accepted to FSU today which I expected but is mildly comforting if every school I want to go to rejects me there’s still going to be good ol fsu

lol SAT scores don’t mean anything, don’t worry about that.

Assuming you have a 2200+ that is.

I got admission from my safety school today. Very happy!

I travelled about 500km to meet new people and get my mind off Cornell…travelling back today and all I think about is Monday (Tuesday 1:00a.m)
I refreshed my Email and I’ve seen the email from Cornell, it freaked me out a little lol…and at the end it says ‘best wishes’ and I’m like ‘just say whether I’ve been accepted or…never mind, just say I’ve been accepted’ LoL

2200 is a bit high, no? I think 2100 should suffice. Hopefully. Cuz I have a 2130 : P

depends on what college you applied to (and your ethnicity).

got accepted to both my safeties! and 1 of them is UIUC = ranked higher then Cornell in CS : B)

Me too, get accepted to UIUC’s electrical engineering! Like one of the hardest major to get in!

I have 2080 :l but a 32 ACT so I’m hoping that and my essays save me

what are your rd options engineering folk? Just to digress :p

Guys I have a 2050 but a 1430 (CR + Math) and I’ve applied for Hotel Admin, is that fine? :/

its a lil bit on the lower side…but as long as u show ur passion through internships, essays and other EC’s HotedAd will take u in…Its just looking for passion and commitment

It is snowing in Ithaca. Here are some of their webcams:

A little over 2 days to go.
My daughter just received her EA decision for her safety, NC State, which should deflect some of the blow, if the news isn’t great on Monday.

I am in at UICU CS also, very nice safety while waiting for Cornell, Princeton and CMU
