i know people have different thoughts about are u submitting it by tonight 11:59 or tomorrow 11:59? im confused by the wording of it

When is the midterm report due? It says march 1, but I haven’t even gotten grades in my classes yet (tests, projects), I am taking four classes. I have an A going for acc based on attendence/participation and hws so far. A few assignments for CIS, but no big grade stuff. I probably wait until I get the first test or around my schools midterm? I am in the fifth week right now, there is about 14 weeks so around 7th-8th week, I should submit the midterm report?

I believe the deadline is march 1 at 11:59pm. That seems to be standard. I doubt it will matter as ppl will be confused by it.

I have a quick question - transfers don’t have to send in secondary school reports, right? The ones that the high school counselors were supposed to fill out? I sent my high school transcript but didn’t get the form filled out because I didn’t think it applied to me as a junior transfer. But it’s listed on the common app site under School Forms so I’m mildly freaking out… Can someone clear that up for me?

@minilily: No you don’t have to for transfers.

Does anyone know what to do if your financial aid documents don’t show up as received in the to do list, but you already sent them in?

^ hey, thanks for the reply.

did everybody submit their SAT scores?

I’m not going to.

I did. I figured it couldn’t hurt. Although it did hurt my wallet. lol.

they do super score it right?
because otherwise my critical reading would be reallly low…

Have you guys sent in your midterm reports?

I actually want my professors to assign them before I receive any real grades so that I’ll have straight A’s because of homework and participation.

I sent mine in. I am on quarters though, so we are almost done with our classes for this term.

Lol@ transfers2010: I think I should the same, I haven’t submit my midterm yet

I’m sending it next week, when after all my 1st round of tests ends… Can’t wait… Now back to the books

Do you guys think that the adcoms would be understanding if they like a candidate a lot but he made some grammar errors?

I had to write my essays (3 because I applied to the College of Human Ecology) in two hours and english is my third language.

I guess what I am asking is if several grammar errors are a casus belli granted everything else (GPA, EC’S, ideas in the essays) is good/great?

Personally, I would understand if adcoms at a great school like Cornell would not be indulgent since we had time to prepare those essays but I am just asking because my situation sucks since I know I could have done so much better

I think they’ll look past minor mistakes as long as you state in ur application some where that English is not ur first language

Submitted my app yesterday. Feels really good. I’ve planned on this for two years and finally to see it come to fruition feels amazing but also fraught with its anxieties.

So I was in a rush to get it in time yesterday and as a result I wrote the wrong major…
the question before it asked if I applied to cornell before and when so I thought the “indicate your college and major of interest” was asking what major I applied as before. I did write them an email explaining this but didn’t get any response yet. Is this a really big mistake? I mean it’ll be ok if they just print the email and put it in my file right? So scared …>.<

Thanks for your answer. I did mention in my common app that French and Spanish were my native languages.

Did anyone that applied to a college where interviews are not required have an informal interview over the phone with a Corneel official? I did with Mr. Fisher from the College of Human Ecology, I don’t think that they are going to take that into consideration though.

Sorry if this question has already been answered but does Cornell usually respect their 4-6 weeks policy for declaring our admission/rejection?
