<p>Yes, I am a classical violinist. Youngest concertmaster of the Philharmonic orchestra. My favorite is beethoven. who is yours? Wagner, perhaps?</p>

NOt really hate but I don’t enjoy his work at all. (Except maybe Die Walkure)</p>
<p>My favorites are Italian - both verismo and bel canto. Donizetti, Bellini, Puccini, Verdi, namely. You know, mad scenes, high Ebs, coloratura passages, suicide, love at first sight, tuberculosis, etc. Italian opera.</p>
<p>I don’t really know Beethoven of coruse, since the only opera he ever wrote is Fidelio, and not a very recurring piece in today’s houses, so I have never heard it.</p>
<p>I generally listen to the same works over and over again interpreted by different artists. I have over a dozen Traviatas, for example xD</p>
<p>Actually I got all lost and confused between Physics and music. Talking of violin concertos, my favorite is mendelssohn</p>
<p>My favorite is Bruch (not a very unique or creative choice, is it? xD but then I never listened to more violin concertos than I can count on my fingers)</p>
<p>Another I particularly like is Beethoven’s in D major. I have a recording by Anne Sophie Mutter with Seiji Ozawa which is pretty good :)</p>
<p>Oh, both go together, in the same genre. But Mendelssohn is more technically difficult. But, it looks like we are getting off the main thread</p>
