[] Job/Work Experience: Internship in Singapore and Indonesia (Summer of 2010; Private Equity Firm)
[] Volunteer/Community service: Local Hospital and Habitat for Humanity Indonesia
[] Essays: My main essay was reviews numerous times and praised highly (I talked about Tae Kwon Do throughout my youth and how it helped me become who I am today). ILR’s essay was reviewed by my friend’s dad, a Cornell grad, who said it was very solid (my experiences living/traveling abroad).
[] Teacher Recommendation: I actually never saw any of them, lol. One teacher had me in 10th and 12th grade, so she saw a huge change in me (in her words, I had developed a lot of qualities that were typically present in great leaders).
[] Counselor Rec: Once again, I never saw it/them. However, he told me it was a great one and I should pay him, so I’ll assume it was good.
[] Interview: It went pretty well. She was really impressed at my credentials (I’ve been around the world for various reasons) and told me I would fit in nicely at Cornell.

[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Essays, interview, ECs and overall having international experiences.
[] Weaknesses: My grades, definitely. My GPA is pretty low, and my class rank didn’t exactly inspire awe in people who knew it.
[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: Because apparently I’m a good match for ILR, but they want to make sure I can actually demonstrate an acceptable work ethic, haha.
[li] Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: Accepted: SUNY Binghamton and Geneseo, George Washington University and University of Maryland. Waitlisted: University of Chicago, Vanderbilt University, Colgate University, and New York University. Rejected: Harvard University, Columbia University, Boston College, Johns Hopkins University, Tufts University, University of Pennsylvania, McGill University and Georgetown University. Deferred: University of Michigan. (Still no response . . .)[/li][/ul]

General Comments: Unless I get into UChicago (highly unlikely), I’ll be following the Transfer Offer rules. See all of you in the Fall of 2012, and congratulations to all!
