Is it me or was CR significantly easier than in October?

i cant remember whether or not the farming one was frustration or not; i think it mayve been something else. i think i got something different for both fingerprint ones. the towns were vulnerable because the glaciers were looming over them. the other one was something about irrigation. i think the brother was happy to tell her more because he was amused by her curiosity. i dont remember the first question for the writing passage, and i think the 5th bach answer is wrong

was ingenuity an Sc or from a reading passage. ALso, weas pessimistic and SC or from a reading passage?

Wow this Critical reading was hard!
I hope that one about History was experimental… I left like 8 blank on that because I went brain dead haha.
All other sections I fully answered, except for that one.
Even then I already know I missed at least 5 CR reading questions on the other sections. Probably going to get the same score as my last CR SAT in march where I got 11 wrong and got a 640.

Some of my answers:

Towns and villages were vulnerable
Best evidence was “the distribution of humans” or something like that…
“Cold” meant impersonal
Impugn… recant
Spate
Brisk
Extend metaphor for fingerprint passage
The two questions asking about literary devices were personification and simile
I had that the writer’s journey was frightening because it talks about his “groping in the dark.” I could be wrong though
the better singer helped him “understand how the parts were related”

These are the passages that counted in verbal:

https://www.■■■■■■■■.com/questions/368?title=Which+CR+passaged+counted%3F+November+3+2012+sat</a></p>

the answers here are contradicting each other…

i agree with blobo, except the groping one was arduous i think

I think I missed at least 3 so far:

-I put disparity instead of spate
-I put sanguine… vindication :frowning:
-I put something instead of cursory

Theirs a good list here: https://www.■■■■■■■■.com/questions/367?title=November+SAT+1+Test+Questions+and+Answers%2C+■■■■■■■■.com</a></p>

why is the answer for that town question destitute, not vulnerable?

im pretty sure the brother wasnt uncomfortable. it said he was surprised that she was there, but he was also happy and amused

I also chose that the brother was uncomfortable because he was"bemused" that his sister wanted him to read her the page and he said he would if she would leave.

For the cold question I chose impersonal.

i didn’t choose uncomfortable…i chose the one that said that he didn’t appreciate the style or content cause previously he said that it wasn’t anything special and the question said “in context”

bemused means to be either puzzled or occupy attention of
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bemuse</a>
the sentence/line number said smthg like
Bemused, he asked “If I read it to you, will you go back to the Inner Room?”
so wouldnt it mean he wanted to find out more/talk to her?

someone please answer my question. :(

@penguin21795
i got vulnerable too…
destitute means like lacking necessities
im not sure what that has to do with
how the town and villages were faced with smthg like
miles of frozen glaciers or w/e

peguin, I put vulnerable also. Basically, the paragraph described how the ice loomed over the town, the town “clinged” to the cliff, and how the ice “weighed” down on the sea. All the info was pointing towards vulnerable, and I did not notice any details suggesting the town was destitute (which means poor).

mmaatt, I agree. The brother wasn’t uncomfortable. What evidence was there in the passage that he was uncomfortable in any way. If anything, he was excited, “bemused,” and eager to talk to his sister.

spaceghostpurrp, although he didn’t appreciate the content, those specific lines indicated that he was eager to talk to his sister about this story.

thanks ashhm!

also, with the bach passage, why was the answer to one of the question relating to something about challenge? i got he discovered a hidden talent…
