Based on the last 6 years they only once notified on a Friday. I think that it shows they prefer to release mid-week, latest Thursday. So my guess is, "they tell you via email tomorrow on the 6th that the ED decisions will be online on the 9th Thursday.
Sincerely,
Karnak the Magnificent.
“You are correct Bison Breath, the 9th it is!”
Maybe? My daughter says she is going completely utterly nuts and she can barely make it til the end of the week, she logs on an average of 12 times a day. God if she gets deferred I am afraid I will need to hire a shrink, one for her and one for me! But I know she should get in so I will only think positive thoughts, “AUM, Dartmouth ED Accepted, AUM Dartmouth ED Accepted (my daughter that is of course), AUM Dartmouth ED Accepted, AUM NAMASTE!”

PLEEEAAAAASSSEEEE JUST LET THE KID IN WILLYA?
Trying to be dignified here, the please just slipped out.
Good luck to all…breathe deeply-inhale, exhale…lie on your mat and release all tensions.

I still have no idea if I will get in or not, and I started this thread lol. Everyone I know says I’ll get in, but looking at some of the people applying on CC, I’m not so sure (even before I looked on CC, I still had doubts–I try not to be overconfident). I think it really just comes down to whether the admissions officers discern my personality/interests/background to be a great addition to the College or not.

Once again, good luck to everyone! I hope the decisions come out as soon as possible, because I am sick of waiting!

LOL, I have no idea whether I’ll get in either. It seems like each day I come up with a new reason for why I will/won’t be accepted.

I’m pretty confident about UChicago, though. ;)

+1. Same with me.

Thanks!

10char

how many people here also applied early action to Uchicago?

My parents wouldn’t allow me to apply to UChicago because of it’s location in the city of Chicago…If you are applying Username13, I wish you the best of luck! :)

Also, one point I’d like to make: Why is the Dartmouth discussion board always so lackluster? Let’s get some activity brewing here! :D

^If you get into Dartmouth, Pranam0, you should totally start a CC-Dartmouth Forum Club! Although, come up with a better name than I just did.

Because of its location in Chicago?..Wow…

^^^ you’re right. the dartmouth board is always dead – especially in comparison to the other ivy leagues/top universities.

but anyway, i’m going crazy waiting for the decision!

If I get in I will be DARTing around my room with my MOUTH open because of so much joy.

:D

yeah, the other boards are booming while the Dartmouth board is very quiet. Truthfully it makes sense why the board is so quiet - there’s only so much that can be discussed.

Hey, it’s not a bad thing that it’s quiet. We’re concise and to the point! Or at least, we can think of it in that way…

So, December 9th is my birthday. If that’s when decisions come out, this is either the greatest/worst/eh (if deferred) birthday present ever.

:)

I’ll post if I remember… which i very well may not…
Regardless I’m pretty stoked to find out.
Good luck to you all… haha I hope we all get in and get to know each other better up in New Hampshire…

When you say ‘email’ are you referring to actual email inbox, or the login page at Dartmouth’s website to check for application status?

@I V: Heck yeah, man! I will definitely do that if I get in (which will be hard)! But yeah, a better name should be the first priority  hehe.

@daiviko: Yeah, I know right. It’s kind of weird…But I wish I could apply! :)

@sunsetskies: You’re definitely correct on that one…if the Dartmouth board was more lively, CC would definitely be my top site visited  haha.

@AvidStudent: Hahaha, nice use of the name! Made me laugh! ;)

@yogibear7: Ahh, very true. All we can share is how excited we are, and when exactly will decisions come out.

@eagertolearn: Exactly! :D

@nishravi: Haha oh my! Good luck man! And hope you have a very happy birthday! ;)

@skico11: We are all stoked! Good luck! Hope to see you in Hanover next year! :)

@bex930: Email for the date and time notification, and then the website for the actual decision. :)
